TOPIC: Insanity advice for beginners

i'm beginnin on monday and i want 2 be as prepared as possible so any advice from ya'll would be greatly appreciated.
i know that i will need the followin: a good pair of shoes a big bottle of water pace myself thru the vids at first wearin a heart rate monitor bring it at the end of the vids (last 10min at first then last 15min the last 20min & so on & so on) is there anythin else that any beginner should be made aware of? Thanks in advance for the advice!! |

Insanity goes through 3 set for each workout block. Do it at their pace for the first set, slightly faster and harder for the second, and for the final one, bring it as hard as you can for the time left. You'll die, it's ok. Next time you'll do better.
Wearing the heart rate monitor will help, set the high alarm for your max heart rate and if it goes off, stop and take a break. You'll notice through the workouts that Shawn sends people off to the side to take breaks, so it's not the end of the world if you have to rest a few seconds. Other than that, you need a towel and more water. Oh, and make sure you take before pictures so you can claim your Insanity T-Shirt from the website. Don't worry about the stretching, the videos stretch your legs plenty. |

I saw the infomercial for the workout by shaun T "Insanity workout" and I gotta say its so cool. I really want it asap it made me wanna get up and work out. Now I have never been into any workouts or exercises but i want to. I weigh 220 pounds and i really want to loose weight so i want this program. Any advice if you have done this program yet?? and yes im 100% committed to doing this program. But I want to know Do you think a girl like me I mean my size will be able to handle this kind of workouts or do you think I should start like doing something else something small first. Please advice.I've read some reviews for this workout and they say that its very hard but its worth it. That its a great work out. so if you have worked out to this program let me know. I want to loose weight.
