Yes, it is over. I have to say I really loved this program. One thing you can say about it is it was never boring. Each workout pushed you to "Dig Deeper". Since I am a Type A personality I pushed and pushed to make sure I could make it through each workout without taking breaks. I did the final Fit Test and was very happen with my progress. For those who haven't done Insanity the following list probably won't make sense. The Fit Test is done five times in the 60 Days beginning with Day 1 so each exercise has five numbers - one for each time. Each exercise is max reps in one minute.
Switch Kicks 67/117/118/126/127 - nearly twice as many! Power Jacks 49/52/55/57/59 Power Knees 70/80/84/92/94 Power Jumps 30/35/43/45/47 Globe Jumps (sets) 7/9/10/10/11 - each set is four moving jump squats Suicide Jumps 10/12/14/15/16 - the hardest one for me Jack Push Ups 24/25/30/32/36 Low Plank Obliques 57/70/80/81/88 The first 40 days I was also doing p90x at the same time...Insane yes. Once I finished the round of p90x I took a break and concentrated on the last three weeks of Insanity which was wise because the second level is killer (in a good way). The results....I did increase my cardio endurance dramatically which amazes me considering I have asthma. I leaned down in both my upper thighs, my lower back, and in my abs. The core and ab work in this program is great. I can feel the tight muscles under that remaining thin pesky layer of bf covering my six pack that I know is there. |

Thanks for your review of Insanity. I just scored Insanity from a buddy of mine. He and his sister each bought Insanity. After watching her brother's dvd's she decided it wasn't for her. I bought it from her for $75. It was still sealed in the original box.
I have done a couple rounds of P90X. I was thinking of doubling up P90X and Insanity too. I am not sure how long I can do it. I notice that they crank up the intensity of Insanity in month 2. I know others that have used the strength training workouts of P90X to supplement because, while they felt that Insanity was way more exhausting, they felt they needed the strength training to balance it out. Do you think that doing P90X while doing Insanity made it a more balanced workout? |

I'm in the 3 phase of P90x... during my last recovery week i did all Insanity instead... Insanity is killer! but like most have said it's mainly cardio... i know in the deluxe they added a weight routine, but that's just one weight routine.
once i'm done with phase 3 of P90x (two more weeks) I'm going to do Insanity and P90x.... This is how i have it planned: (because i'm focused on leaning out AND gaining muscle) P90x on Mon-Wed and Insanity Mon-Sat in the afternoon (or mornings when i don't do P90X) I wont do the leg routine because they will be blasted with Insanity. Not sure yet if i'm going to do the P90x phase 1, 2, or 3 but i'm thinking phase 3 as i liked switching back and forth every week. If i was trying to loose a lot of fat and not so worried about muscle i would do Insanity in the AM and p90x in the pm. This is the plan... we will see how it goes... i have two more weeks of p90x left. |

I had no trouble doing both Insanity and P90X until I got to the last three weeks of Insanity...the max level is truly a killer. That is when I started getting symptoms of overtraining. I had finished my third round of p90x at that point and just didn't start up a new one until I finished Insanity.
Now I am doing a combo of p90x plus, p90x, and Insanity. |

I'm curious as to how much space is required for Insanity. Is it similare to P90X or does it require more space?
Thanks and congrats on finishing! |
