Okay my Hip Hop Abbers! I am back and full force. I told my mother who is doing this with me its BOOT CAMP TIME. Its spring and we only have a few weeks to get fit and in a healthy way. I am totally commited to sticking with it everyday. I did my first work out last night at 11pm and boy is my body sore this morning I am going to try and get the work out in this evening if not it does help me to sleep at night when I do it late. My thought is as least I am doing it when I can and I am so excited about starting up again considering the fabulous results I had last year this time I need to stay motivated and put these videos to use ALL of them. Before I only did cardio and ab sculpt. I am also next week going to start walking 30 minutes. I dont want to do to much to soon. My body hurts today from one work out but I am concentrating on food intake and water. I started eating the Fiber One snack bars which really do stablize my sugar so I am not drinking 1200 calories in Orange juice which I was these past few months to keep my sugar normal I would have like a gallon of OJ through out the day and not drink water at all. Now my water bottles are full and I am eating every few hours. I will post my new stats later on their not as bad as I thought they would be but can definately do better.

So common everyone get into this forum and lets post more often ok I need some partners in crime

Okay from today on I am going to keeep my food journal on here atleast Monday thru friday when I come to college.

Breakfast : 8:30am
1/2 large onion bagel
1oz honey ham
1 large egg
1oz swiss cheese
3 cups coffee with sweet and low and coffee mate
3 cups water

Snack: 11:15 am
1 Kashi snack bar. 140 calories 6 grams sugar
bottle of water

Lunch: 12:20 pm
1/2 large onion bagel
1 oz ham
1oz swiss cheese
Lettuce
1 tbsp ranch

Snack: Other half of my Bagel 2:00pm

Fiber one bar : 4:45 pm


Dinner : 7:00 pm
Hamburger with bun and lettuce onion and ranch
mixed veggies with 1 tbs of ranch

Work out : 10:00pm Fat burning cardio

Good morning all! Today I am posting my stats again.
Darlina 184lbs Laurie ( my mom) 178lbs
Chest 42.5 in 39 in
L arm 12 11.5
R arm 12 11
Waist 40.5 30.5

R thigh 22.5 23
Hips 42.5 46.5

Okay so there's them. In one month I will measure again.
Breakfast: 3 cups coffee ( thats what I need to cut down on)
1 fiber one
hamburger bun
1 oz ham

By the time I got to class I got shaky and had to eat 1/2 grapefruit and another snack bar



Lunch: 12:30 pm
1/2 onion bagel
1 oz ham
lettuce
1 tsp ranch
1 cup green beans

Snack: 3:00 pm
Other half of the bagel

2 ham sandwhiches plain on white bread hours apart

1/2 cup spaggetti and small garlic bread for dinner 8:30pm

Yesterday I took my break day since my sugar was all out of wack all day and I woke up at 5:30am and was beat by 10pm.

Breakfast 3 coffees 8:30 am
rye bread
1 egg
1oz ham
1 oz american cheese

Snack 11:00
fiber one

Lunch
onion bagel with ham and lettuce and 1 oz cheese

What is this diet you are doing? Seems quite odd.

I'd consider removing the breads you mention and stick to only a minimal amount of multi-grain and also brown rice.

Last spring I did a whole diet blog and listed my foods that worked for me. May want to check it out.

I am not doing any particular diet just counting calories and keeping my blood sugar stable. this is working for me this is how I have done it in the past but yesterday was a bad day so I had to eat more than usual because of the constant sugar lows

I have been too busy to post but I did start again last week. Only did three days last week and two this week. I need some motivation and I need to start early morning before my little one gets up. I am going to try this on next week.

Okay so last night no HHA due to the fact my dad went to the ER. But this evening I will be doing it and all weekend so I took my rest days in the middle of the week thats all.

Breakfast: 8:30 am

2 rye bread

1/2 american cheese
1 egg

Hello all. This weekend the food part was good but friday I missed the workout. So saturday we did the cardio and had a good day.

Today
Breakfast
1 egg
1oz ham
1 oz american cheese
2 slices white bread

snack
fiber one

Lunch
tuna burger w/ swiss cheese
lettuce
onion roll
1/2 apple

snack
1 apple

Here is the recipe for the Tuna burgers they are really good
2 cans tuna
some onion
1 cup spinach squeezed out ( you can use any veggies peppers are really good too)
1 egg
2tsp relish
bread crumbs to help hold it together just a small amount

Mold together 4 burgers and set in the fridge for 1 to 2 hours
pop on George Forman grill and cook until crispy

I tried it today with swiss cheese but its probably better with out since I couldnt really taste it. just wasted calories

Snack 1 and 1/2 small apple

Later snack 1/2 fiber one bar

Dinner
2/3 brown rice
2/3 mixed veggies
1 1/2 0z chicken
2 T generals sauce

Work out
Cardio - 45 min walk
Fat burning cardio

and inches are coming off too but that will wait until a month to post.

2 rye bread

Snack: 11:45 am
1/2 a sandwhich
1 rye bread
2oz ham
1oz swiss cheese
lots of lettuce

Lunch 12:30
Other 1/2 sandwhich
1/2 cup mixed veggies with 1 tsp ranch

Thanks I didnt get to do the work out until 11pm but I did get it in last night. I just recruited a new hip hop abber my professor at college... Its great.

Breakfast 8:30
1 egg

2 white bread

Hello all I dont see alot of motivation or support here. Last week was my week off thats why I wasnt on here. and I dont think I worked out at all really maybe a few days.

Todays weight in 179.6 lbs

yesterday I went for a 25 minute bike ride which just about killed me but I have to keep telling myself this is getting me healthy and push through it. I can really see the changes in my body even though the scale isnt doing much.

Common people I need some support or I may fall off the wagon again.

Hey Darlina,

This is my first post on this site. I have read everything that you posted so far. I want to commend you on your determination to reach your weight and health goal.
Can I make a recommendation about your food intake? I noticed that you eat a lot of white bread. In fact too much. Have you ever thought of switching to wheat? I also don't see hardly any fresh vegetables on your menu....also, the snack bars you are eating can be sabatoging your change of lifestyle in regards to weight loss....Instead of using bread with your meal, you can use romaine lettuce as your bread, you can make a wrap out of it...
Just a thought.
I have been doing Hip Hop Abs for six weeks now. I have lost 14 pounds and a lot of inches. But I am not solely doing the DVDs for exercise. I mix my workouts with speed walking, because I can no longer run. I also do lite weight lifting in my home with free weights. Most importantly, I totally changed my way of eating. I have cut out most processed foods, sugar and alcohol. Don't get me wrong, I do not deprive myself of a treat every once in a while. I had to motivate myself to not eat junk. I also drink a lot of water.
One thing that has surely helped me is drinking hot tea after every meal. Think of it this way: You know how when after you have cooked something with grease, and when the grease cools off, it looks like beige lard? Then when you pour warm water over it, it dissolves? Drinking hot tea kind of does the same thing with your digestive system. I still drink water with my meal, yet never fail to drink HOT TEA at the end of the meal. I have been doing that for six weeks now. By the way, I think that three cups of coffee with the creamer and sugar is way too many.....
I understand what you wrote about being a single parent. It is tough. Yet I am also a single parent and made the hard decision about sacrificing my lovely sleep time and get up an hour early and do the Hip Hop Abs while my five year old is still sleeping. It has worked like a charm.
I hope to see you on here again. You totally have my support!!
