Vacation! 7 Months ago Karma: 0
Hey guys! I am going on vacation this week for 7 days to Mexico and will be unable to do my p90x regimen. Fortunetly vacation happens to fall on recovery week before i begin phase 3. I was wondering if it would be ok for me to take this week off and just watch what i eat and try to do a lot of walking. After all this hard work I would like to relax and enjoy the beach! I am going to bring workout clothes to plan to make it to the gym maybe 2 times, but i have a feeling I wont end up going! What are your thoughts?!

Will you not have time on vacation. I mean its vacation! Bring a portable dvd player or laptop. But if you cant, just stay true to the diet and get some good cardio in on the week off. I dont think its really that big a deal I would be just concerned with loosing motivation and never starting phase 3 when you return. Just my 2 cents

ENJOY your vaction!! Enjoy your family, husband/wife, friends, or whatever your situation. There is NOTHING more important than quality time w/ family/friends or for just for yourself. It's just a workout program...it'll be here when you get back. Dont sacrifice your time just to find time to work out and possibly miss out on more important things. I hope nobody takes this "thing" that seriously. If anything, take long walks on the beach.

Just like Tony says "If you need a break, take it". Take the "break", enjoy Mexico!

Have fun!!

Thanks so much! I really needed to hear that!
I don't want to stress about workouts on vacation! I need to enjoy time with my hubbie and friends! Thanks again!

yea seriously, i'm with Pip. enjoy your time away! the workouts will be there when you get back.

you can always get your fill of activity. maybe they have things like scuba or snorkeling, kayaking. that will be more than sufficient if its your recovery week. or maybe even the place you're staying offers a yoga class, maybe you can attend! bring your friends!

and by all means, do not restrict yourself on eating! i kno i kno, stick to the diet, but c'mon, food is almost #1 when i go away, especially to a different country. dont wanna miss out on yummy goodies from other cultures.
