Personalized Routine for major fat reduction? 4 Months, 1 Week ago

Ok, now bare with me, i now you have all seen sveeral of my posts over the past week or two, and yes it is as it seems, i just cannot grip exactly what i want out of the programme. So, im going to propose, and very likely, use this p90x routine.
Target: For the rest of the 90 days, get as much fat loss as possible by altering the p90x routine, and then move on to a muscle building one.
Routine;
Monday; Cardio x
Tuesday; Plyo
Wednesday; Shoulders and arms
Thursday; Kenpo x
Friday; Plyo
Saturday/sunday(one is rest day); Either Chest and back, cardio x or shoulders and arms.
Now that's more or less 5 days of a hard cardio based workout. Coupled with decent, healthy eating and me making an attempt tp restrict calories as low as possible before hitting starvation mode, this should cause pretty big amounts of fat shredding, am i right?
Keep in mind here, it is my personal goal. First and foremost, i want to create a slimmer, fitter foundation for the real p90x round which i will be doing after this one, if i go ahead with it. I now plenty of people have lost considerable amounts of weight with the normal routine schedule, but would my results not surpass theirs in fat loss with muc more cardio? The science is there, but befor ei go ahead i just want osme opinions. I am sorry for being a nuisance
Thanks alot for reading folks.

the calenders are here for a reason, and one should not modify it if they are not exerienced in fitness in my opinion. I would recommend following the lean routine. You will burn more calories and lose more weight than doing the program you suggested. I guarentee Core Syn will burn more calories than Cardio X. Also, the nutrition guide is there for a reason. Follow the proportions, and make sure you're not starving yourself.

yea, i'm with austin. i dunno, the classic routine was more than good enough to help me lose nearly 30 pounds. and thats with a less than mediocre nutrition. i can't imagine what it could have been had i followed the nutrition more. fat reduction is ALLLLLLL about what you eat. i really can't emphasize that more.
i woud say stick to whats prescribed. but if you must, do lean. but remember this, as you're doing the strength workouts, you're burning off fat, and replacing it with muscle. and we ALL know, it takes more calories to maintain that muscle, which will in turn burn more fat. if you have time, i would recommend doubles, if your primary goal is fat reduction.
and i'm not sure about you, but i sweat a TON in yoga. meaning that its doing something. maybe i'm just a HUGE yoga apologist or something, but i'm just not a fan of when people remove it from their modified programs.
so yea, just do the 90 days as prescribed. Classic, Lean or Doubles.

It is all there for a reason, Nutrition is the number one key. I did classic look at my pics in the picture section. Strict nutrition and bringin it on the Classic. Nothing more needed. Submit to the program, if you modify it what else are you going to modify?

Keep the program as is. if you want to burn more do the lean routine and do doubles by adding cardio x on top of another work out. Also lifting days are hard and require more energy then doing Cardio X or Kenpo.

Ok thanks for the opinions guys.
Well thing is, i HATE stretching and all that. I dont want to be flexible, im not bothered about that, maybe when im older, but im 17 and what i want is fat loss and obviously muscle gain.
So im removing yoga (dont flip coco ) and legs an dback, as i really do not need to improve my legs, they are my strongest part of my body and i am very confident in them, so more cardio on that day cant hurt, right?
Well, i guess ill sticdk to it this round, and if i dont achieve the results i want, then ill modify whe im ready.
Although, i must say, i am extremely more fitter, the missus noticed this.

I would not modify either. This routine is developed by qualified professionals, and if you follow the routine and the diet plan you will see results. You just have to bring it and be patient.

if you have 2 min, watch this video. its Tony stressing the importance of Yoga. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V2-CLZLqo4A
Also, we've been stressing your modified workout schedule so much, we've lost focus on the most important part of weight loss, nutrition. what's your plan of attack? are you going to be following the P90X nutrition guide?

Well what i have being doing - Correction: What i have to do, is i have porridge oats in the morning, with sometimes some raisins and sugar (i am decreasing the amount of sugar each time, and its working ). Then, in college i may take a piece of fruit in, and i always buy water. After college, which has various finishing times depending on days, if i am hungry when i get home may have beans + tuna mixed, maybe some soup and few slices of wholemeal bread, or fruit depending on how hungfry i am.
After this, i will eat the main meal which always contains mashed potatoes, regular baked beans (if i havent alreayd had them), and another item of food like chicken, fish, veg, and some chicken in batter (only 132 calories a piece, high protein, not to much fat and carbs).
In the night if im hungry, ill eat fruit and only fruit, as my snacking habits are most definately shrinking. And if i dont have oats in the morning i may have them in the night.
Now usually i would come to about 1500 calories, sometimes more sometimes less. but i am trying my utmost best to fit this routine around my hefty college scheduel, and since im doing a business studies course, is a shed load of work, then i have to get home, wokrout, see my girlfriend which take sup the rest of my day. It shefty, but somehow i am managing it.
Oh and might i mention today i got into some jeans i havent fitted into for months (stuck inside with the girlfriend made me put on loads of weight ), so i must be loosing some fat, right? I can treally notice a big change, but im only on week 3 day 1, so there is plenty to come hopefully.
What do you thin about my nutrition? i think its the best i can get it with my busy life. I must say i had my doubts about this programme, but after fitting into those jeans it served ot be a huuge confidence booster, and im sticking to it and bringing it hard as i can every day!
Today was chest and back, and i dread this one as my strength is not what is used to be, not even half, so its tough. but im definately getting stronger, and im pushing myself to failure. in the seocnd round of chest and back about 5 mins form the end i found myself struggling on my knees on every move..heh.

I don't want to be rude, but rather I want to be blunt. If you remove Yoga and/or X Stretch from your workout routine, you WILL NOT get good results. Flexibility is a MUST for helping your muscles rejuvinate and grow stronger. Yoga is not just stretching, it is a combination of stretching, and holding moves that require your to use muscles you would not normally use by just lifting weights. It is THE SINGLE MOST IMPORTANT routine in the entire week.
Most people do not want to do Yoga because it is too hard to do at first. GIVE IT TIME... PLEASE!!! You will get better, more flexible, stronger, and end up loving Yoga by the end.
DO NOT modify the program. You WILL NOT get better results by doing what you think is better. Professional fitness experts developed this program, and it is an insult to them to modify it. the ONLY exeption is if you want to challenge yourself by doing some of the P90X+ videos instead of the P90X videos (replacing Kenpo X with Kenpo Cardio Plus, etc.). I don't want to insult you, but right now you are making yourself look ignorant. do the program as intended and I guarentee that you will see GREAT results.

LOL I wanted the same thing. I did the lean workout on phase one and fallowed my diet to the dot. And i mean to the dot. Eating lean protein and everything that i ate with low fat or no trans fat. And on my carbs i just ate oatmeal. On top of this to my daily p90x routine i did interval trainning in jogging for 35min. everyday at night. And my results were great. I haven't posted up my pics but i will soon.
