Cardio Workout 9 Months, 2 Weeks ago Karma: 0
I was wondering if it is ok to substitute a cardio workout other than p90x which burns just as many calories if not more. The cardio workouts I'm referring to are those such as cardio x, plyometrics, kenpo x, etc... I play racquetball and just was wondering if I could substitute or do I need to play racquetball plus the cardio workout for that day? Thanks in advance.

Yep unfortunately you have to do the cardio. Its going to be hard at first but your body will adjust to it. Just make sure you have a good diet.

I'm not sure if I was clear enough. I am still doing cardio throughout the day (burning the same amount if not more calories than the p90x workouts). I wanted to know if I am supposed to do the cardio I normally do throughout the day combined with the p90x workouts). I just hear it's not good to do too much cardio in one day (1000kcal or more).

Oh in that case, if you can handle it then yes! P90X doubles call for cardio plus the regular workout.

I run 6 miles in the morning plus p90x at night. Either way you do it should be fine.

Ok thanks. I am doing the doubles and I try to get a game of racquetball in every day (although I can't realistically do it everyday). I just didn't want to do the racquetball plus cardio plus muscles. Seems like I would hurt myself.
