Ab Ripper X 4 Months, 1 Week ago

I usually do AB Ripper X right after the lifting workouts.
Some people on this board seperate the 2 exercises and do ABs later on during the day.
When is the proper time do AB RipperX. I figured it is all one workout wiht the lifting for an hour and Ab Ripper for 15 min afterwards.
Thanks!

I am pretty sure you're supposed to do it right after. Hence why it comes on the DVD after you strength training.

Depends on how i feel after my workout. Only difference between doing it right after your workout and later on during the day is going to be your heart rate. You are not working the same muscle group as you did in your strength training regiment. It might even be more beneficial if your feeling pooped after your weighttraining dvd because you will be able to get more reps in.

I always do it right after the resistance workouts. I workout early in the morning and I'd hate to have ARX hanging over my head all day.

Its at the end of the DVD becuase you are suppose to do it right after. I press pause for a minute or two to catch my breathe, then I get right into it.

I've done ARX separately a few times, and when I finish, I just don't feel like I got a good workout. I'd rather be tired after resistance and have to take mini-breaks during the ARX routines than do all the ARX repetitions and still feel okay. This is just my personal feeling, but I'd rather get totally smoked only being able to do about 80% of the ARX repetitions than be only half-tired doing 95-100% of the ARX repetitions.

I am a big fan of doing them separately because it allows me to give total concentration to my abs and core. I am not fatigued so I give all up during that session. You can always add more reps. After my second round of P90X I was doing 650 reps of ARX. It got to the point where I was doing ARX and following it up with Abs Core Plus.
