A weak side 1 Month, 4 Weeks ago Karma: 0
My left arm is holding me back. I'm sure I'm not alone on this.
When I am doing curls my right arm wants to keep going to 8,9,10 but my left form gets so sloppy. Both arms are getting stronger at the same rate. I'm at the point where my right is ready to bump up in weight and I really want to bring my left up to speed.

Any thoughts would be helpfull!

thanks
Ken

i some times do 1 or 2 more reps on one arm but personally would not bump weight only on one arm. You might want to work in some extra curls on the weaker side with lighter weight or even get a couple extra workouts on off days on that arm but my focus would be to bring the weaker side up to speed.

Doing extra curls on off days is only going to slow your process down, not speed it up. The last thing you want to do is overwork your muscles. Keep the same weight on both arms and just let your left arm catch up while doing maybe 2 or 3 more reps with your other arm.

Thanks guys

I don't think that doing some isolation curls on my Kempo day would be bad idea.
That should give my arm ample time to recover.

Way back in the Day. I was doing curls every other day. After you have been doing resistace training for a while your recovery time should shorten. As long as you are getting the proper nutrition and not trying to blow your bicep out of your arm on the extra day.

Thanks again

Ken

Your recovery time doesn't get any better. You body still has to go through the entire process of stripping down the muscle, rebuilding it, then adding more muscle to repair it. As hard as the arm workouts are in this program you more than likely need more than a couple days to be fully recovered, not to mention isolation curls only work a certain part of the bicep so its not all that much good anyways,
