Ok. So I've completed 1 round of P90X before. It's been 3 months since I've last done it, due to lots of school-related stuff I've been unable to keep up a routine.

So four days ago, I've went at it again, did the Chest & Back exercise. Let me first tell you this. The first time I've done it, I never had any extended amounts of soreness. Neither did I have any problems when over the course of the program I amped up the reps and all.

Granted, I was 120-130lbs then and I'm 140lbs now.

But, for four days now, my triceps are dead to say the least. I can't bend my arms without feeling extreme strain on them. And it doesn't seem to be getting better each day.

Before you criticize my diet, let me say that I get about 2200 calories a day, 250g carbs, 45g fat, 140g protein (my weight). I drink protein shakes each day. I get 3 square meals a day (used to be 4 when I was trying to gain weight, but now I'm just trying to keep it stable), with plentiful amounts of meats (I try to eat white, occasional red), rice, veggies. I hardly ever eat fast food or empty nutritious food. I do have one vice tho: I hardly eat fruit. But that shouldn't be the cause of my problems, since I NEVER had this problem before.

And about the Chest & Back exercise - I didn't push myself over the top. In fact, I stopped many times when I felt my muscles were going to failure. I only squeezed out a rep or two in a few exercises, that's it.

So what's the deal?

Sounds like you're sore. Give it a few days to recover and go at it again. You should have gone very easy for the first week. For most people, the first week is hell. But you gotta "get all the soreness out" before you can continue.

If it is still bad in a few days, go see your doctor. My guess is after 3 days you will be fine. Drink tons of water and take some Advil for the discomfort.

It's ironic. My REAL first week wasn't nearly this bad.

Sometimes that happens. You must have pushed your triceps really hard. Sounds like you worked them!!
