is this program worth the money? 4 Months ago Karma: 0
I saw the infomercial for this and was immediately interested. I was working out the P90X but had stopped due to some personal problems (rather not elaborate) I started to run to keep in shape but got quickly bored..I went on to the Insanity workout but that is for the very advanced. I have a bad knee to due surgery and it hurts and sometimes will be sore for a couple of days.. I want to be able to tone up and lose a weight. I'm currently 5'2 1/2 and at 165.. which is a lot. I do medium amount of workouts through the week with a relatively healthy diet. No more than 1500 calories in the day and 30-45 minutes of cardio 3 times a week... Any advice? I know I can do more but not sure as to how..

If you can do p90x you should be fine with chalean extreme - It's slower and more controlled movements (i haven't checked out the cardio routines yet, but i don't think it's as extreme as Insanity).

All of these programs are worth the effort your willing to consistantly put in... if your only going to give half way... then no it's not, if your willing to commit and give your all for 90 days. then yes, it is.

ChaLEAN or P90X - both of them are intense programs. I think they are geared for people who are extremly motivated to lose weight and get bodies to die for. For beginners or even intermediate level people, the easy and realistic way to start is by eating right and exercising moderately.

I watch all these intense programs on TV and really wonder how many people have the time to invest into such programs. It is very important to rigidly follow all the rules as laid down in the program. But if we chalk out our own plan, we can do it at our own pace since we know our bodies and we know better what we are capable of doing or not doing.

But from all the reviews I have read so far, ChaLEAN seems to be a happening thing in recent times, it has created quite a buzz in the fitness world.

If you do either of these programs, I'd recommend finding a buddy to keep you motivated as they are so intense and without the right motivation, you won't likely make it through the entire program...
