who is p90x for? i would like to lose 50lbs. can i lose 50lbs on p90x while obvsly following a diet plan as well? or is it just for people who want to tone up, be leaner, stronger, lose a little weight? it seems like on the commercials the people are fit or just needing to lose a few pounds. they are not obese. i was thinking of using this after i lost my weight to tone up and get leaner. i didnt think it was a weight loss program i thought it was a toning system.

I started Jan 25th weighing 210lbs at 5'7" tall. My goal is to get to 145 again which is losing 65lbs. Yes p90x will work for you but only if you work for it. You have to make the choice to eat right, workout everyday, and get healthy. It will be hard at first but you will feel so much better and look better too. Good luck and keep us updated.

Franny- you are correct that it wasnt designed as a "weight loss program" per se; but the truth is, if you have the fat to lose, you'll lose it. I mean, when you're working this hard, 6 days/week- theres just no way you wont.

i personally loss 30 pounds from P90X. and thats even without following the nutrition that carefully. as fodgrl_84 says, its up to how hard you're willing to work.

P90X isnt something new, it isn't something magical- its just old fashioned working out, to the "extreme". the beauty is everything is laid out for you so theres no reason to not workout, you have a routine to do, you know what to do, so just do it! if you have 50 pounds to lose, it may not ALL come off in 90 days (its actually wouldnt be very healthly to lose that much weight in such a short amount of time), but trust me, it'll happen. if you watch the latest infomercial, theres several guys that were overweight and are now in the best shape of their lives.

Best friend dropped 50lbs in 90 days. You get what you bring to it. If you go at the workouts and nutrition hard, fat will fall off.
