So we have all watched the infomercial. But what made you pull the trigger?

I am 39 years old. My son is 20 months old. With him around my eating habits are horrible...

I decided I had to do something. I DO NOT want to be a 40 year old fat slob. Plus I dont want my son to learn my bad habits. So a major change is in order.

I watched the infomercial and wanted to order it but was skeptical. A co-worker friend of mine ( in the same position as I am but 10 years younger wanted to get it as well. We talked about it for weeks.

Well he secretly ordered it and didnt tell me. He did week 1. One day I noticed that his body changed. He looked sore. I said did you join a gym? He laughed and admitted he ordered P90X. He said that I would love it.

I ordered it and here I am......

I can tell you...playing high school sports, working out in the past etc. This program is intense. Everything is a superset. It is the complete package. Hardcore weight training with stretching, yoga, kenpo. It hits hard every workout. I love it!!!

I started p90x because I desperately needed a change. Growing up as the skinny kid in middle school then the fit, muscular, athletic kid in high school to the beer belly no muscle tone college kid got me down a little bit. So, I'm here to get back to my glory days! I also like to think of p90x as a "quick fix." Granted its extremely intense and hard but a 90 transformation is definitely quick.

I started P90X For a lot of Personal Reasons, mainly to get in the best shape of my life.

Well, a guy needs a hobby...

No, not really! In all sincerity, I'm a martial arts instructor who enjoys the workouts, but I wanted to do something to augment my martial arts training. I've had a horrible time losing the belly fat despite being in great shape. And I tore my knee up playing high school football nearly 35 years ago and I'm in training for a knee replacement.

P90X has been awesome! While I'm still hoping to lose more weight, I've lost two belt notches and I think there's more to go before the surgery next January. I'm doing my own "clinical trial" with an enrollment of one to see if training before surgery improves recovery time after surgery. Don't worry, the data is already there. It's just fun to see it happen!

My wife, for whom "exercise" has been a dirty word for years, is also using Slim in 6. She's gradually working into the routines and beginning to actually enjoy it. It's nice to have something to share with her.

I started it because I couldn't stand to look at myself in the mirror. I used to work out years ago, was in good shape. I've tried various workout methods lately, couldn't keep interested. I turned 50 years old 3 weeks ago, weighed myself, saw the scale hit 276 lbs and couldn't lie to myself anymore. I needed a drastic change. I saw the infomercial, and it looked like something I could stay intersted in. Not the same day in day out routine. So I ordered it. I couldnt hardly do anything the first day. No chin ups, and just doing jumping jacks for the test was very hard. I didn't pass the minimums on all the stuff, but that wasn't going to stop me. Yesterday was day 6, I did 3 sets of 20 jumping jacks and I could do more. I lost 2 inches off the gut and 8 lbs. so far. I'm a happy camper.

I was slowy (at one point) then rapidly blowing up, and couldn't get myself in my home gym for a mere run on the treadmill
I saw the infomercial as a sign to get back in shape, after getting the Program I tried it for 3 weeks and went on vacation and couldn't come out of recovery week when I got back.
4 months later after realizing that I couldn't workout at home I joined the gym another 4 months later I found a way to get my dusty P90X videos on my Ipod and Zune. that was 2 rounds ago.
