You don't NEED supplements, but they can help if you want to take some. If I were you I would visit the
www.bodybuilding.com website and read the many articles they have about supplements and what they do. They also have a few about recovery drinks and what not. Visit their forums as well and read through or post in the Nutrition and the Supplements sections if you have questions or concerns. There's a lot of information on that website and if you take the time to do some research you will come out of it much the wiser.
