LuckeyBear - that's funny I just realized my favorite shows all have food commercials followed by Jenny Craig commercials. Talk about mixed messages!

On another topic - it seems every time I tell someone I'm trying to lose weight I get bombarded by unsolicited advice: "Drink lots of water!!" "Don't eat after 7PM!!" "Cut out carbs!!" "Don't drink diet sodas!!" "Don't eat fat!!" "If you exercise you will eat too much!!" etc etc etc. Some really kooky stuff too. I want to say back to them "I've lost 34 pounds so far, I think I'm doing something right - how about YOU??" lol. I think it pushes peoples buttons to see someone who is actually doing something about their fitness - not just talking endlessly about how they're "gonna" start going to the gym more.

Anyone else get this kind of chatter?

I have to give big KUDOS to you guys who've had the willpower and determination to stick with this program. Not just doing the DVD's but also following the nutrition plan. To me the nutrition plan is the biggest piece of this maddening puzzle. I gradually fell off the nutrition plan wagon and 2 weeks ago when my son was sick for a few days just got me completely off schedule w/ exercising. So I've moped around this week & got really pissed at myself that I kind of gave up. So starting today I'm back to Phase I eating plan and will be starting over tomorrow from the beginning w/ the DVD's.

In my opinion, anyone who can do this program all the way through w/o any hiccups is the MAN or WOMAN!!!

To any of you who are stumbling like I did get yourself motivated again and remember how great you felt at the beginning of this journey.

Kara

P.S. FightFATblogger - all I can say is "WOW"!!!! You should feel so proud of yourself. I remember talking to a personal trainer years ago and he said 75% of the battle is what you put in your mouth.

I'm back on the bandwagon. Doing Kenpo today - felt too tired to do anything yesterday. I feel good after my 35 min cardio. Taking a day off really helped! But the food issue is a big one. I gained a pound from all my happy hour festivities. incredible how a woman's body just wants to inhale calories and put on the fat. Argh!

Thanks Kara!

started week 2 of phase 3 today. I ended up doing "doubles" last week and it was not that difficult to do so my plan is to finish the program doing them. I piggyback cardio-x on top of plyometrics, yoga (i only do the first 45 minutes of yoga), kenpo-x and do the fourth one on my rest day. Excluding the rest day, I elminate the warm-up as it's unneccessary so it's only a 23 minute workout. I ended up a cheating a bit on Saturday night so that is another reason why i like to doing doubles...i do not feel guilty about it.

I just bought a weighted exercise vest for my next round of P90X....march 1st 2010!

My focus is going to be on muscle mass so basically eat more (healthy of course) and do less reps with more weight.
