TOPIC: Starting March 22nd

Hey. I'm 6'0, 256lbs, and 24% bf. I've determined that I'm a level III, but there's no way I'll be able to pound down 3,000 calories so I'll be shooting for 2,000-2,500 calories/day. I've done a few of the p90x workouts with a friend who has it, but never the whole program. Now I bought it myself.
I will be making a few modifications to the program (adding other lifts that I like - note I said "adding" not substituting/subtracting). But those will become apparent as I will try my best to post my reps and weights on each lifting day in a journal here. Also, I will be wearing the bodybugg. I heard it's the most accurate measure of true caloric expenditure on the market (far better than a heart rate monitor) so I will also post how many calories I burned during the workout. I will keep a food log through apex fitness's website (as opposed to fitday which I do use and love - it's easier just to keep it all on one site). I will try to post my total calories consumed, but won't bore you with exactly what/when I ate. I hope others will follow my posts and see my progress. I'm looking forward to it. I'll get a starting pic up as soon as I can. Cheers! Josh |

It seems like most people eat less calories than what the guide suggests, since most of us have a decent amount of fat to lose. It sounds like you are really setting yourself up for success! You can't go wrong if you plan ahead and keep track of everything. Good luck!

Hey Josh. I'll be starting Monday as well, I'm going to try following the Level I as closely as possible. 5'11; 210 lbs. Hit me up if you are looking for some motivation because it'll be a battle. I can't wait.
