Aloha Mike, congrats on changing your life! P90X has really transformed my life, and I'm only in week 6! I've noticed weight loss, my back is stronger and I have a much more motivated outlook on things. P90X is the first thing I've ever done to change my physical appearance and it will work, just be patient. My patience is tested all the time.

This forum is great for getting all your questions answered. There are lots of great people here who want everyone else to achieve success. Join up with someone that's posted a "Started today" thread and keep it up! I joined a group of guys (we started 6/15) and we're still plugging away. Keep pushing play!

Welcome to the program!

I, as well as Mahbles, have seen drastic results. I would say that I have seen more on the mental side of things than physical. Sure I have lost like 9" off my waist and around 18lbs, but those are means to an end. Changing your outlook on life, your desire for fitness, and just having more energy in a day is completely priceless.

There will be ups and downs, but just remember your goal. You are here to change your life. Stick to the diet, stick to the program, and you WILL see results in your body and mind.

Well I am WAAAY STOKED!! I just kept up with the crew through the plyo workout on my first time doin it. Honestl though i think its cause i line dance 4 days a week as well as do my navy pt. Line dancing though will up your plyometric skills dramatically because a lot of the songs are really fast paced dances (after you learn the basics) when you start doin the advanced steps. i've only been doin it for about 2 months and i've been doin the advanced steps for about 1 and a half months of that. Anyway like i said, i cant beleive i kept up with them!!! cant wait to push play again!

The workouts are addicting, aren't they? I remember my first week, I was so stoked to try each DVD and see what they had to offer. I just finished week 6, and there are some DVD's I like to push play on, there are other DVD's that I dread (Kenpo).

The DVD's are very motivating and well thought out. There's a good system and pattern and it doesn't help to skip around and do them out of sequence. For example, Plyo is Day 2, but the legs and back workout aren't till day 5, which gives your quads and glutes time to recover from Plyo. For some reason, my head seems to think that Yoga is the last workout DVD of the week, then I remember I have to do legs and back, Kenpo and stretch.

I'm extremely motivated to get through Phase 2 and to see how my body responds to phase 3. I recently discovered that I can now touch my toes without bending my knees, whether I'm sitting on the ground or standing. That may or may not be a big deal, but to me, that's tremendous. I've never been able to bend over and touch my toes. Ha, I'll be stretching all the time now just so I can get my hands more under my feet.

Keep pushing play!
