The first day was rough. I'm doing the lite version and Total Core X was one rough puppy. I've had trouble walking without looking stupid for three days now, and had to break up the last three days workups over 10-15 minute period's throughout the day. I could barely sleep!

But I woke up this morning feeling great, and almost all the soreness is gone.

Okay, now for a more broad introduction. Hello, my name's Christina. I'm 24, 5'5'' and I weighed around 183 when I first started P90X, and while its only been 5 days I'm already down to 176 pounds. I'm sure I haven't actually lost fat, but likely a lot of water weight since I never drank a lot of water and now I'm drinking easily 2 liters a day. My body fat is around 41% according to the Navy Calculator and my BMI is 29...so yeah, not good. I'm also pre-diabetic (among a few other medical conditions) so it's really important for me to get into shape for my health and less for vanity. I use to do extreme muay thai workouts at a local dojo, but that was years ago and I've since really fallen out of shape.

I'm doing my best to stick to this program as close to physically possible for me, and so far I think I've done very well. The only problem I'm having is incorporating more protein into my carb-heavy lifestyle (breads and pastas). I'm eating a protein-bar once a day, usually an hour before a work out and I've also bought a whey recovery drink that I intend to start taking after the heavier workouts. On top of that I'm trying to eat at least one steak or chicken breast a day, cooked in a skillet without any sauces or butter. I hope I'm going about this right.

I've also got a few before pictures to post...but they're not very flattering (nor were they taken with any skill, thank an annoyed roommate for that)...then again I wouldn't be here if they were.

Thanks a head of time for reading, and any comments or advice is greatly appreciated. I know Its up to me to stay motivated, but I hope this forum will give me that extra boost if I start to slack off.
