TOPIC: Soreness...

i'm three days into this, and every muscle in my body is so sore i can barely get out of bed. anyone else experience this? it hurts so bad to stretch right now, but feels so good after i do. cant wait for this period to end.

Don't mean to be a jerk but, get used to it. That soreness lasts about a month if you work hard. The first week is by far the most intense though. So just make it through week 1 and it will somewhat lessen. That is the X in p90X..

Oh I'm not giving up or anything. I know its working because of this and that it means I'm doing it right.

Me too, I just didn't know if I should be working out if I'm sore. You know make matters worse or end up in the er for a snapped muscle If this is normal, and continuing to work out while you hurt is normal, then I'm game.

@alphabets - Are you taking a protein shake? Also, I would suggest a protein right before bed like cottage cheese. I can not stomach cottage cheese so I drink a Casein protein shake. Late night proteins are crucial to protein synthesis. Your body goes into a rebuild process every night. Having a slow digesting protein will give your body the fuel it needs to rebuild overnight.

Trust me, it will help with the soreness.

No, I have not been, but I am going to pick some up today. I was going to get shakes and bars. Thanks for the tip.
