TOPIC: Sore Muscles...

hey guys I bought the p90x program a while back. Never made the commitment to myslef actually start it.
Well i finially decided to give it 90 days with no regrets. I know this is a newbie question but my muscles are really sore. Im on day three now i tried to start the workout and my biceps are way too sore. I wouldn't mind trying to work though it but i feel like im going to injure myself. What can i do to stop the or heal faster 2 days max? Im taking the recovery drink, Whey protine and, some type of Amino acid powder. Im sure this has been covered before. I just dont have the time to search im at work Thanks |

You did Chest & Back and Plyo so far? How is the rest of your diet? Getting enough protein?
Why don't you switch around the routines and give yourself another day, do Kenpo today for example. |

Week 1 is the worst as far as soreness goes. I'd do what you can as far as the exercises go, and add in some extra stretching and a nice hot shower or bath afterward.
You're suffering from a buildup of lactic acid in the muscles. It'll get better with time. The recovery drink will also help. Also, you may just need to drop back the resistance/weight you're using in some of the exercises until the soreness improves. You won't be the first, trust me!! That way, you won't sacrifice your form and risk injury. Hope this helps... Kevin |

i know its too late,but my arms were sore for almost a week after the 1st disk,i learned after that to just do a practice week with the rest of the disks and only do half of each disk,was scared i wasnt going to be able to walk the next day if i overdid plyo or legs
