Just wondering when I should be working out, taking supplements, eating. Here is my schedule for day 1, including Ab Ripper X.

7.30am: Chest and Back workout followed by recovery drink
9.30am: Breakfast
11.30am: Protein Bar
1.30pm: Lunch
3.30pm: Snack
5.30pm: Dinner
7.30pm:Ab Ripper X (followed by protein shake?
9.30pm: Protein shake (if not immediately after Ab Ripper X.
11.30pm: Bed

That's what I'm thinking, although I'm not sure if I should take the protein shake before o after Ab Ripper X, or even do Ab Ripper X right after Chest and Back, and just have the recovery drink?

Or, slip some creatine into the protein shake to make it more worthwhile as a recovery drink too?

Also, I'm meant to be gettin around 2400 calories a day, but I'm only managing around 1800 on my predicted diet (I just don't have the time or money to eat much more). How the hell does everyone manage it, and will it reduce the effects of the workout?

I'm generally quite energetic, I don't eat properly now but still run 3 times a week and play football, so I was thinking it wouldn't be too bad?

I dont see anything wrong with doing Ab ripper X in the afternoon.......most probably it would be the best bet in the beginning especially due to its difficulty. I was looking at a schedule similar to yours but are you going to do the exercises in the morning on an empty stomach??? or eating anything before hand????

The schedule looks good and very similar to mine. I do Ab Ripper X right after my routine. I am usually gased, but it is good for me to knock it all out at once. Regarding working out first thing. You could eat some whole grain toast 30 minutes before, but I know how hard it is getting out bed, let alone getting out bed and waiting 30 more minutes.

One note, I also take JACK3D before my workouts. It really helps boast my energy level for the workout to help get max reps.

Someone else on this forums are workouts in the morning on a empty stomach and they do it just fine. Im gonna have to do that as well because i just would not have the time otherwise. But maybe having some sort of smoothie or something that will give you a small boost of energy right before and then another recovery one after to get you through the morning???

I take JACK3D 20 - 30 minutes before my workout and it really works. It keeps me in the zone during the work out and I am able to really push it. There are others like N0 Explode, etc. JACK3D is my personal favorite because it uses less cafeine and really gives a boost. I find myself ready to go for the rest of the day after taking some.

Yeah I was thinking about something to get me through the first workout, just a slice of toast or something - it'll help towards the 2400 calories!

I'm pretty sure I won't be able to stick to that every day, I'm generally not a morning person but I've invested enough into P90X, not gonna turn back now! We'll see, starting on Tuesday 19th.
