Restarting after a few months 9 Months, 3 Weeks ago Karma: 0
Greetings everyone.

So, story goes that I started P90X back around the new year. Was able to do it for the first month, then life caught up with me. Aside from School (just graduated college), I managed to pull the muscle on my heel, as well as in my shoulder, and the injury in my wrist also started giving me problems. Now, I'm in worse shape than ever.

My plan is to restart P90X now that I'm done with school and the injuries have healed. I'm going to be moving in about a month, so I think I'll get in as much of that month as I can. That way, when I move, I can take the time needed to get settled before I start exercising again.

Anyone else out there have problems getting back into this? What got others off their butts to start up again?

Brian

yea, i started around this time last year, meaning i finished in the middle of august. then i slacked off the next 4-5 months, and restarted in the beginning of 2009.

my motivation? i got out of shape again and was regaining the fat that i had lost through the first round. clothes started getting tight and that guy large!

I used to be a runner in highschool and went to state for diving. So I had to have pretty much the whole package to compete successfully.

I hit college and it went downhill fast since I didn't have those sports anymore to keep me going.

My motivation? When you aren't able to do things that you once were able to do. Benching over to tie your shoes and having issues because your gut gets in the way. Having to take a breather when you run to the end of the driveway to get the mail.

Then, the ultimate slap in the face, which got me into P90X, when the fiance goes "maybe you should start working out..." When that happens, you know its time to do something and get off your bum and start working out. You know you can do it since you did it before, its just DOING IT.

BRING IT.
