Wow. I'm on day 4, nice and sore, and just did my first sorry attempt at yoga. I really never thought from seeing other's do a bit of yoga that it was all that difficult, other than the need to be limber. Well, I have to admit I was wrong. This is really hard. Nothing I've done in the last few years could have prepared me for this.

I'll keep at it though. I don't expect to accomplish miracles right away. My short term goal is to be able to go smoothly from "downward dog" to "runners pose", lol. So far my foot doesn't want to get off the floor. My long term goal for yoga (I have to keep telling myself this) is I could possible get the flexability to have a John Daly/Fred Couples type golf swing.

( You golfers out there will know what I mean). I'm enjoying this. I look forward to coming home every day and starting my workout. I also realize that doing this once isn't going to be enough for me. I'll have to do it 2 or 3 times before I get to where I want to be. But, whats an extra 180 days on top of the 90? Not a heck of a lot in the grand scheme of things. I have to say that so far, my favorite is the "shoulders and arms" workout. At least those are exercises I can identify with. I'm looking forward to trying the Kenpo. Felt great this morning, getting up and having a nice ache to the muscles. Now I'll just have to wait and see if I can still move tomorrow, or if the yoga crippled me. Can't picture myself calling my boss and telling him I can't come to work because of a yoga injury.
