I have seen and heard nothing but great things about this program and as long as your willing to put in the time and dedication you should do very well. I am waiting for my P90x to arrive. I am very excited about it. I do have A question regarding the chin up bar. It seems my doors are too large to fit the bar(kinda disappointed in that) because I have never been able to do a pull-up and was really hoping to get the bar to see what I'm made of. Does anyone have any suggestions on being able to modify the bar to fit my 34" doorways?

The P90X program is one of the best workouts I have ever done and the results are fantastic. Good luck on your journey. As far as the chin up bar, I got the Iron Gym bar which fits my door...but they have a piece you can buy that is an extender for larger doors. It's a great chin up bar.

There are also methods of using resistance bands to simulate pullups, but in my opinion, can't beat a traditional pullup.

The doors in your house are wider than 4½ feet?

Re-read that. I believe the P90X bar can fit 34" doorways, but I guess I am not certain. I have a standard doorway in my apartment and the chin-up bar sticks out on either side by like 5".

Also remember, you can use any door in the house, it doesn't have to be in the room with your TV. For me personally, I actually jog over to a different room to use it. (Its a jog of like 30ft, woooo. Hey, its somethin to keep the heart rate up!)

I have even used our bathroom door because the door I usually hook it up to is the bedroom but the fiance was watching a show, so I hooked up to a different door.

The door frame on the inside is 34". Do you know the overall length of the bar?
