What To Eat To Get The "X" Body 4 Months, 3 Weeks ago Karma: 0
I am 14 years old and i have been doing p90x for 1 month now. I havnt seen any results so it must have been my diet because i been eating whatever and not worrying about my diet but now i know it play a crucial role to getting a nice body, So my friend gave up on p90x and he gave me the dick so i don't have the nuetrition guide or anything else except the disk. So if you guys out there have any tips about nuetrition and give me some examples to eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner as well at snacks and drinks. I am 14 years old i am about 5'3 and i weigh 155 pounds and i am planning to lose alot of pounds. PLEASE HELP!!

might want to edit "So my friend gave up on p90x and he gave me the......"

I wouldnt think at age 14 you have to worry about what you eat. i know i didnt but a good start is stay away from eating out and cook your own healthy foods at home. Plenty of healthy receipts you can find online. Also keep the hands out of the snack draw.

You're at a healthy weight for your height. at 14, you are still growing and need calories to do it, especially if you're doing P90X. Just try to hit 200-300g of protein a day & try to keep the fat around 50-60g a day. The carbs, you should try to keep around 125-175g a day. You can modify how you want, but you shouldn't need to do much to your normal diet to still get results at such a young age.

Austin,

I think that protein load is a bit high. It should be 1.2-1.5 grams per kilogram of lean body weight. If we hit in the middle of your suggestion at 250 grams total amount per day, the person would have a lean body weight of 100-150 kilograms. It might be right for a gorilla, but I bet we humans would do fine with a bit less. A total body weight of 155 pounds (about 75 kilograms) would require about 90-120 grams of protein per day, about half of what you're recommending.

Also, a high protein load can lead to acute renal failure and dialysis. A high price to pay for more protein!

The nutrition guide is a good place to start.

I know P90X is a great program, but if i were you Chris I'd try to join the wrestling team at your school. Even if your not competitive, you will be getting strength training that I believe is equivalent or superior for someone your age (and also should be relatively inexpensive). Add a little Yoga and Plyo and I think you'd be a monster on the mat. Just an opinion my friend, good luck!

That is actually great advice! P90X is not the only way to get fit. While it is a great system, there are tons of other ways to meet you goals. Even if you don't choose a team sport, it is worth exploring all your options. I personally like it when people think outside of the P90X box.
