This is my first day on P90X and W/L HQ.I'm pretty tired after the first day but I just keep telling myself you can do it.I ballooned up to 276 lbs and as of late I'm at 241 pounds.I feel alot better but I have 40 lbs. to go.The program is just what I'm looking for and I am fully committed.I guess Guitar lessons will have to wait as I can only stay focused on one subject at a time.Dog gone my feeble mind.....

You can do both of them only if you hate yourself.
No, they give you an ARX disk as a "bonus". All the workouts that use ARX have it at the end of the video so just keep watching and that's all you need to do.

Hi
I just finished my first week, got my butt kicked but I love it! I dont think I can follow the diet though as I dont really eat that much. I have lost 33 pounds over the last year and a half and now I want to tone and lose inches.I love Lean Cuisine,Smart Ones, and Healthy Choice meals.I pretty much eat smart and have dropped red meat(1 yr) and pork from my diet(5 mos).
Is it ok to continue with these entrees for the most part?

Unfortunately you can't target specific areas. Doing ARX more than 3 times a week will more than likely weaken the area. You need time to recover after it. You should already be doing 4 ab workouts a week as it is, 3 ARX and 1 Yoga Belly 7. Just keep up the work and you'll see the results you want. Your gut is the last to go though.

Hi, Im on my 3rd week of the p90x lean program, Ive been heavy into running and lifting for about 7 years now, im pretty much at my ideal weight and somewhat defined, my question is, i started the lean program, because i wanted to lose a little weight, and get more toned, Now i think i made a mistake and should have started the classic version, has anyone changed programs during phase 1, If so did you still see results? Or is it best to finish the lean , then go to classic?

Zoya,
It happens all the time. You can really study the P90X system but, in the end, it's like learning to drive a car. You just have to strap in behind the wheel and take the car out on the road to see what it's really like.
Here's a couple of suggestions...
First, you could finish Phase I of Lean, then switch to Classic for the subsequent phases.
Second, you could continue Lean, but do 8-10 reps with heavier weight instead of 12-15 reps with lighter weight.
Either of these will be fine, and I'd feel perfectly free to choose which plan works for you. Remember that you've been exercising for awhile so you probably have a pretty good idea what your ultimate goals will be and which works best.
Hope this helps...
Kevin

I am on week 3 1/2 of phase one. I am started the first week doing the lean then switched to classic the 2nd week. At the start of phase 2 though I am planning on going to doubles as I really want to drop the weight faster and feel that I can work out two times a day. That or switch up the cardio with running in the mornings.

Hello,
I'm a provincial squash player, I bought the P90X and am really excited about it. However i need to know if i should do the workout before or after my squash sessions. I usually play squash 5 days a week, swim on the 6th day and rest on the 7th. Please guide me on this matter.

Depends how bushed you are after squash. If you do your workouts before squash you may affect your game until you get used to the routine, if you do it after then you may not bring it fully at first since you'll be tired. I would try to arrange it though that your rest day from p90x is also your rest day from squash, that way you can do Stretch X without having to play squash or swim.

I have one more question about phase one of P90x lean, im starting my 4th week now, of phase one, and it lookes like a lighter week, as far as no body building, I love to run and do other cardio, shall i still do this , while on im this week, i still want to lose body fat,or to get better results, just follow the p90x program, with out additional workouts,
i am planning on switiching it up next week to the classical program, i think, does anyone else add their own workouts to these programs in addition. and still see results?

Hi so I will be starting P90x lean next week. My plan is to cut then build with P90x classic. My question is will this work or should I just do the classic?

yak- do classic.
long story short, if you do classic first, you'll build a better foundation (more muscle mass). with more muscle, your body burns more calories to function and move. so once you've built the foundation, then move over to lean to really BLAST the fat with more cario.
