Just found this forum. Cool to see some others in pain like me.

I finished back and legs today followed by Ab Ripper X. Was actually able to do like 85 percent of ARX today. The first day, I couldn't do 25 reps of ANYTHING. So, I'm pretty happy about that. My diet has been spot on as well so I'm looking forward to my weighin this month!

Is anyone else gettin wicked gas from the diet change?

I am glad someone else said it first...the gas is simply amazing...for all in my household doing P90X and trying to follow the diet...

Legs and Back is done. This one was a struggle. Let me see why it's Friday and it's a holiday weekend. I made it through the workout but, I was really dragging. I was able to go a little longer with AB Ripper X too.

Good work to everyone else. WE have 2 more days and we will have completed 2 whole weeks of the program. Yeah!!!!!!!!!!

Re:Starting on 5/11/2009 9 Months, 3 Weeks ago Karma: 2
Yesterday was bad. I was so lacking in energy. I got through 75% of the legs and back. I just didn't have the drive or energy to finish, so I did another 15 minutes on the cardio machines while my wife finished her class. I got home and all hell broke loose with the kitchen sink plumbing. Water was all over the kicthen, so never got around to ARX.

To top it all off, I had a delicious, yet, unhealthy dinner. Went to The Hat and shared a pastrami dip sandwich and large fries. Then went to foster freeze and got a mammoth ice cream (I didn't honestly expect the ice cream to be so big). So bad, I know.

Oh well, gotta keep pushing. Kenpo or some form of cardio today. Probably will end up being later.

Kenpo is over for me. It was ok today. I have some issues with the moves but, I guess it will get better as I get used to doing the same moves. One side of my body (right) can do some of the boxing moves with no problems and the left side I have issues with keeping the right form.

The diet for this weekend has been really hard to keep up with all the barbeques and things going on this weekend.

Keep pushing play.

Hi guys,

While doing yoga (warrier 2) my feet slid away and I pull my right Adductor muscle. It didn't hurt much at the time but few hours later...oh boy. I was miserable the whole evening and woke up few times at night while changing my position in bed. I always exercise first thing in the morning and it was SO SO difficult not to follow my usual routine and wait till evening to do the shoulders and Arms! It seems that those extra 10hrs of rest really helped in recovery. I did KenpoX this afternoon (had to be careful with kicks though).

The thing that I learnt from my injury apart from making sure that my hands and legs won't slide away while stretching is that I'm already enjoy doing P90X every morning without even realising it. It's good to be part of this blog too

Keep up the good work everyone.

I was a day behind so I'm getting ready to do kempo. I blew the diet yesterday. I'm a big Denver Nuggets fan, and a few friends watched the game together, ended up making hot wings and pizza, but that wasn't the bad part, it was the beer. I feel like i put on a few pounds of fat. Going water skiing later on , so maybe that will burn a few extra calories. Hope everbodys having a good weekend a keep up the good work.

2 weeks down!

I really don't see any physical improvement yet, my flexibility is slightly better, but not much. I really pushed on legs and back this week, and was slightly sore, which I wanted, I feel like if I'm not sore, I didn't push hard enough. I'm learning to like kenpo, it's fun, and the second time around, I wasn't fumbling as much trying to figure out what they were doing. I haven't gained or lost any weight, and according to my crappy digital scale, it says my body fat % really hasn't gone up or down at all.

I actually really like Kenpo X. Its the only video of the week, I pull the DVD out of the sleeve goin "LETS DO IT." The rest is more, "alright, going to work out like hell and get this over with."

I really wish I had a heartrate monitor though. I never know if I am "doggin it" or in the zone. I am always sweatin bullets though so I guess it couldn't be that bad, and atleast in Kenpo I am with the crew 100% of the time. rofl, on the last move where you are doing the 100 punches, I feel like the guy from Fists of Fury when you do the extras over 100. Ahhhh!!!!! Its great.

As for physical change, I haven't really noticed that drastic of a weight change, but I credit that to gaining muscle. The reason I credit it there is because my waist has dropped 3", and my bodyfat has gone down like 6% already. So losing a bunch of fat and inches, but weight staying the same? GETTIN THE GUNS.

A lot of it had to do with my diet I think. I went from not working out at all, drinking mountain dew 3-4 times a day, eating pizza/taco bell at 2am, loading my salads up with ranch/cheese/croutons, and all of that.... to the P90X program. So I am losing all of the gut that all that fat created.

42" waist down to a 39" waist so far!

Dude thats awesome...congrats on the loss already!!
I did find something cool about the Kenpo....About 10 years ago, my boys and I were taking Shotokan Karate...the horse stance and the punches and blocks are the same! I didnt really notice that the first time...was to whooped I think..ha....so, that was fun to do again....

Yea, I used to do taekwondo when I was a child, and the basic blocks, kicks, etc. we do in Kenpo are all the same.

Oh man. Memorial weekend was so bad for my diet. Pork Ribs. MMMMM....

Went to the gym and did the treadmill and stairclimber instead of Kenpo. I'm training to hike Yosemite in October, so it's all good.

Hey guys,

I just had my "I hate it, but I love it" moment with ARX. Previously it has just been an "I hate it". I was waiting for my dogs to come back in after letting them out, and starting touching my stomach. I haven't seen any physical change there yet (as I mentioned above) but from the 6 ARX's we've done so far, I can feel the bumps of the abs starting to develop under the the skin. Another 10 weeks and hopefully they'll be all you see!

Mine are there, but they have padding for the time being. Working on removing that.
