Just completed Yoga X. So dang sore that I just didn't have it in me this morning. I finished about 30 minutes of it and then just fell out. I think I need some more quality sleep. Thinking maybe I need to get out of work a little early and go take a bit of a nap. Ugh! Roadblock #1

5 a.m. ... Plyo X...crikey

I woke up this morning and my triceps and chest were screaming at me, so a leg workout was very much appreciated. Tomorrow should be a scream for the lower body.

Stickin to the diet, gonna try to eat each of my snacks today and see how that affects recovery and energy.

Keep pushin play people! Day 2 in the books!

I'd definitely encourage you to try Yoga X again, even if it's just picking up where you left off. If you can't do some of the more difficult moves, do some of the moves you feel more comfortable with instead. I swear to you, my body felt 100x better this morning because of all the stretching I did in Yoga X last night. There are a lot of difficult poses, but there are also a lot of restorative poses, especially towards the end of the session. Yoga X will help make the rest of the week much more bearable. If you crap out on any one session, that is DEFINITELY not the one to do it on, because it's going to be the one to give you the ability to make it through the rest. Keep going, even if you think you can't. You will feel much better at the end of the session, and very relaxed. Don't push yourself. If it feels too hard, like I said, do moves that are more comfortable for you, but still try to push yourself.

Yea, finished Plyo today too, my chest and tri's were also sore as hell. Everytime I straighten my arms, I feel it in my tri's bad. Gotta love the soreness though, know you did something good the day before.

Not doing the P90X diet, doing my own thing eating real healthy though, not close to 2500 cals though.

88 days left.

Hey mjb, just wait until tomorrow when that soreness from the plyo kicks in. Everytime I get out of the chair I look like an 90 year old man. On the plus side today I did arms and shoulders and it did not seem to take too much out of me, but I may feel it tomorrow.

Krath! Thanks for the lift. I read your post, rolled my eyes, and headed straight into it. I have to tell ya...I feel a ton better. Didn't skip the workout....and feel very stretched out. After a 3 mile run today...this is what I needed!!!!! Still sore as hell. Just more tolerable now.

Thanks, Dude!

Lol I just realized I basically said, "Don't push yourself... but still try to push yourself."

What I meant was, "Don't do more than you can handle, but don't make it too easy!"

Glad you gave it another go!

Yeah I'm hoping it will not be too bad in the morning, I will let you know. I am in pretty decent shape though and low 20's, so its not killing me too bad so far, only a little in the quads/hammys, slightly, nothing painful.

Felt like I was going to get a charlie horse though on some of the squats, that wasn't too pleasant.

Yea, I am pretty excited for Shoulders/Arms. Wanna give my biceps a good workout. And I love working my shoulders, always sore real easily on Shoulder workouts.

Don't think I am going to post pictures until Day-30 though, I don't want to look at the pictures side-by-side and/or the picture and me in a mirror until Day 30. I know its just cause they are sore, but I can already see a tiny bit of the abs (upper tier abs) from only doing it twice (did it once a day before Day-1)

I can't wait till Day-30. I wish I could go ahead in time.

88 days.

Just finished back and legs. FANTASTIC! I am sooo glad I pushed through yoga yesterday...I honestly believe that it helped to work out some of the soreness. Definitely feeling better and looking to finish the week strong. Will have to get ARX when I get home from work. Despite getting up at 4 am....there still isn't a lot of time. No worries!

Push through!

Thanks again, Krath.

Re:Starting June 6th 9 Months ago Karma: 0
i'm wayyyyyy under my cals. I haven't eaten dinner, but that's what happens when I get busy. I just end up not eating, and I don't feel like eating. It's 9:15 pm, and I feel like I would be miserable if I tried to eat anything :/

I also know that if I'm under my cals, I'm DEFINITELY under my protein. I never get enough protein anyway, and this diet is no exception. I'm trying really hard to incorporate more protein, but I just am so used to not eating much of it at all (I live by myself and I have to travel for work a lot, and I don't cook very much except out of the box--I work 45 to 50+ hours a week, typically, and I don't get home until 7ish, so I don't feel like slaving away for just one or two meals {any leftovers would just spoil by the time I got back home from business}, so I tend to stick to simple things that don't involve a lot of time or clean-up.

I bought some frozen diced chicken breast that i can heat up in the microwave, so hopefully i can start eating that more regularly. I just get bored with chicken! Does anyone know of any frozen turkey that can be heated up quickly? Things that are already cooked work best for me, especially when I'm traveling.

Re:Starting June 6th 9 Months ago Karma: -1
I started on the 9th so I'm kinda in the same pool as all you guys. I've got a question about the diet though.

I find that I am under eating when it comes to calories, but I'm not overly hungry. Most of the calories I'm eating are all protein though. I have a bunch of cans of tuna and the protein recovery drink. And skim milk, and I drink about a gallon of water a day, which I think is about double the recommended intake. What I'm saying is that I'm basically terrified of eating basically any type of carbs and fats, and when it comes to that I only eat protein and it doesn't seem like it's exactly what I should be doing.

Anyone else have this carb/fat paranoia after having read the nutrition guide?

P.S. - I know this belongs more in the nutrition forum but I would like to hear from you guys who are in the same boat chronologically as me.

Re:Starting June 6th 9 Months ago Karma: 0
Use your Beach Body trainer! Seriously I talk to mine every other day about my progress and ask about pointers. Mine helped me tailor make my diet to my specifications, and as someone who works forty hours a week and takes night classes, it can be a real challenge. I find my diet to be what is keeping me in this, so please make sure yoiu are doing everything in your power to follow it. I eat the same meal everyday, which means I A) Cook everything on Sunday and just heat it up later in the week make sure I drink my chocolate milk and whey proteins immediately following the workout C) pick foods you like and use the block meal system outlined in the booklet and D)I buy everything CHEAP and IN BULK from Sam's club. Seriously, get a membership. I buy mass quantities of Chicken breasts (I make 12 a week), as well as my multi vitamin and Flax Seed oil and Fish oil Tablets. Slim fast meal replacement bard are wonderful and taste great, and add about 140 calories to any meal. The P90X vegetable soup is phenomenal and I make it on SUndays as well and it will last me all week.

Plan your shopping Friday, do your shopping Saturday, make your food Sunday, and make sure you follow the diet. I would be a goner if I didnt.

Shoulders and Arms ROCKED btw
