Re:Starting June 6th 8 Months, 4 Weeks ago Karma: 0
I agree on all accounts. I have felt really tired at times and have had trouble with watching my diet. That is my goal for the week...get the diet down. I have to say...I feel much better with the workouts this week and it is nice being able to walk and touch my face. I am looking forward to giving the yoga another whirl and really pushing myself through it. Plyo felt great yesterday...the arms/shoulders was fantastic and I am starting to feel I am making progress. I too am feeling tightening muscles under the layer of blubber. Ha!

Yoga was great this morning. Tough...but still great. I can feel the progress....today was much better than last week. I am not going to attempt the crane, but was able to keep up for most of the other parts. I like progress! Definitely looking forward to the leg workout tomorrow. Keep pushing play!

Is there anyone else out there???? This thread has gone a bit quiet over the past two days. After last week...things have to be getting much better....too early to just quit!

I'm with you ifly, I can feel myself toning up and the second week has been easier(not easy). I've been able to add reps to nearly all exercises. I do yoga today and I'm interested to see if thats going to be easier. I'll still be on the board checking others progress and trying to stay motivated.

I'm still with you! I officially started week 3 today. I'm still hanging in there. To be honest, I was worried in the beginning about how my back was going to take this program. I have had 2 pain blocks done with the last 6 weeks with no results. But, after 3 weeks into P90X my back feels amazing! It hve not felt this good in years. I'm hoping my physical changes will be as good.

Re:Starting June 6th 8 Months, 4 Weeks ago Karma: 0
UGH, I missed Yoga last night, because I got home late from work and played Mass Effect instead, and then I talked to my boyfriend (who is teaching English in China, can't remember if I've shared that or not) on the phone. So I was lazy. I'm mad at myself, and I'm going to try to do it first thing when I get home.

Diet is still going rocky, just because I can't figure out what is best for me. I just don't know how to balance my need for high protein with my hectic schedule. I don't want to drive myself insane (and thus cause myself to fail the whole thing entirely, because i know I would likely give up the exercising if I got too frustrated with all the other factors, or maybe I'm just making up excuses... I don't know...)

Stay strong krath. Even though you missed a day, your still right in line with most of us. That's what I'm counting on this board to make me accountable.

I agree. Stay strong and refocus on your goals. Accountability is the issue and the reason why we post to these boards.

I had a great leg and back workout. I upped my "assisted" pull ups by 5 this week and really pushed the workout. I can feel the burn in my legs and lats. Whew! Feels great. Two weeks are almost down. How cool is that? Kenpo in the morning and then a day of rest. Looking forward to Friday.

How is everyone else doing? Keep bringing it! Only 10 weeks to go! hooah!

Ok, legs and back was exhausting today. I came up short on a lot of the reps. Its like I hit a wall. The end of the week could not come at a better time. Looking forward to the rest day. I can definitely understand why the 4th week is intended to be a lighter week.

Hey Chuck! Woohooo! Almost another week in the books. I agree that the rest day is well deserved. I knocked out Kenpo tonight and was dragging at the front of it but then caught a second wind. Great workout and feel fantastic. Tomorrow I rest and then begin again on Saturday. Fired up!!!!!! I am glad a couple warriors have hung in there and pushed through the first week.

Hey everyone,

Same as Krath, I have been out from the forum a while but still keeping it up. Doing Legs/Back tomorrow morning and like everyone else said, the second time around for chest/back I did a lot more push-ups and could pull em out easier.

Plyo was still tough and shoulders/arms was great as well (not saying its not hard, but i love working out my arms, it feels so good)

Almost done with week 2, keep it up.

79 days.

I'm just a few days ahead of you and I'm still hanging in there. Today was shoulders/arms and ab ripper. Love shoulders/arms, hate ab ripper. I'm looking forward to rest week!

First day of week 3...crushed it!!!!! Chest/Back and ARX. Was toast on the last couple of exercises, but brought everything I had left in me! Hooah!. Tightening up the diet this week....lost a couple of pounds over the past two weeks and clothes are fitting better....a little unhappy with the body fat %, but such is life.

I have to tell ya...I FEEL FANTASTIC!!!!!

Let's roll.....

Just finished Plyo...procrastinated all day and of course it was hotter than hell in the garage. Great work out...dogged it a bit at times but feel okay about it overall. Vomit periodically filled my mouth...but that is okay....it is what it is.

Ha!

Had a great shoulder and arm workout this morning. Lots of energy.... Have to tell ya...I am still super sore from doing chest and back on Saturday. Whew! It isn't as bad as the first week, but awfully close. Yoga tomorrow. ARX is getting better as well. Just need to strengthen my hip flexor muscles to better withstand some of the exercises. Also, I ate a lot better today.

How is everyone doing?

Finished chest/back today, pushing out more push-ups and pull-ups are still hard, assisted everytime, but its only beginning of week 3, I can see my back getting bigger though.

Plyo tomorrow, still dread that everytime, but I know afterwards I am going to feel great.

Ab Ripper-X is getting a little easier, can see the upper abs coming in slightly, lower ones still a little shy though.

chest/back was actually a bit harder this time for me....cause i did legs and back yesterday due to me being EXTREMELY lazy this weekend and kept putting it off.....might go stretchX later tonight tho and i need to make up kenpo as well

i do feel myself tightening up and i believe the body fat is getting lower (dont wanna use the calipers to check till day 30 tho )

Ha thanks. Yea I am about to go do Plyo now. Actually excited for it. I wan't to go buy the caliper things, don't have one. But I can just see in the mirror everyday how thinner I look and the chest/back & abs are looking better. Sometimes with the arm workouts I feel like I am not getting enough, I like to push out more reps when they are done.

I see mostly people on here have dramatic changes in chest/back/mid-section and shoulders/neck, but not really so arms. They look more tone, but not always bigger. But hey, I'm not complaining.

I'll report back tonight.

Re:Starting June 6th 8 Months, 3 Weeks ago Karma: 1
Finished arms/shoulders today for week 3. I,ve noticed more strength in the chest/arms/back, but I have to say plyo for third week was tough. I had to pause the dvd several times to catch my breath. I may be pushing harder in the first sets of exercise and not saving anything for the back half of the workout. This week overall has been tougher than I would have imagined. I am not looking forward to yoga.

I've noticed some toning and my stomachs flatter, but definition is lagging. My starting body fat % was 24 so that may have something to do with it.

im about to do some plyo right now as well. i too feel my body getting tighter and can start seeing some definition in my obliques chest shoulders, my back i cant tell till i take the pics but i feel like my lats have increased in size.

i know day 30 results wont be anything special but that wont stop me cause i know most people dont see much change in 30.

be back later!
