wow, i just finished my workouts, and I must say, ARX gets easier. I've done it twice now (once two nights ago, and once just now), and there were moves the first time that I thought I might never be able to do. I could do them pretty easily this evening.
Oh, I don't want to say it, but i have to! Keep pressing play!

I use myfitnesspal.com as a calorie and meal planner. it has done wonders for me, and there is a p90x support section. Lets all get our pictures up here so we can all keep track.

Hello. Going to start today (June 8th) but might as well be in this section since there are a few people. Never thought i would sign up here and do this but i always check it, so why not? A tool to keep motivated and others motivated.
Will post pictures come 30 days and will check in after each workout.
Good luck.

Just finished Arms and Shoulders. It was tough getting out of bed this morning...every muscle was screaming at me. I dropped the weight to make it all the way through the workout. I am thinking my body will thank me later. This one was not as intense as the last two. Off to work soon. Day 1 of the work week = success. Sweet!

mjb i am with you mate!
I just finished my first workout at 5:00 am and all I can say is WOW!
Quick question: I am really struggling with some of the push up maneuvers, especially the diamond push ups. I find my reps around 6 or 7 total. Has anyone else experienced this?
Off to shower and then eat a good breakfast before starting my work day!

Hi all
I'm over in the June 1st thread but popped over to wish you well
Just started the second week and I promise it gets easier ... not easy ... but easier.
Diamond push ups. I found these harder than the other push ups. I think by their nature they are harder than the other push ups, plus they are at the end of the 2 sections of the workout.
Keep pressing play and 6 or 7 will be 8 or 9 ... etc

Hey all -
I started June 6th as well so I'm really glad I found this forum. I'm 23 years old, 6'1", 177 Pounds, 16.8% body fat. I started off doing P90X Classic and completed chest/back, ab ripper, and plyo's. Whoa that was intense. My ultimate goal is to lower my body fat percentage as much as possible. I don't really care for the overly muscular look. With that being said, do you think I should continue doing P90X Classic or switch to the Lean. Thanks so much for any input.

nice, will be good to have someone go along. If i'm feeling tired but see you workout, it will push me to workout. I'm not 5:00am hardcore like that, but I got mine done this afternoon.
I am also doing cardio stuff on the side till Phase II comes around (running, spinning, eliptical, etc..) I am not looking for huge muscle mass, just toned and lower body fat%
The Diamond push-ups are hard but widen your stance a little more and arms and they are easier. Come week 2 you will be able to do more(according to other peoples responses on week 1 being real hard)
Will check in tomorrow after my Plyometrics workout.

Had to split the workout into two and finished Abs when I got home. I played an hour of soccer in the scorching Tampa heat this afternoon and that wasn't too wise. My whole body is screaming at me....can barely walk and forget about trying to touch my face. Makes brushing my teeth very interesting. I am looking forward to yogaX tomorrow to maybe work out some of the kinks. A co worker of mine stated that legs is a nightmare!!!!!
Krath, I didn't feel that ab ripper was any easier today. Can't wait for the soreness to subside so I can go at it a bit harder.
Diet is going well. Bumped up the carbs for dinner to replenish. Lots and lots of water.
How is everyone doing?

Ugh, I'm still undereating. I need to find something that has a lot of calories and a lot of protein, but very little carbs or fat.
These first few days, things will be messed up. I started entering my
6/6/09 meals on the 6/8/09 page, so those two days are flip flopped. Also, I changed it so I have all my snacks and the recovery drink (for me, it's chocolate milk) in there instead of just breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks.
http://www.myfitnesspal.com/food/diary/krath
Take a look at the 6/6/09 information. That's what I have for today so far (will be updated with the rest of my eats later). I just haven't had a lot of protein in my diet for a long time, so I don't really know what else to eat any more... I avoid red meat for the most part, and I don't really want to bump up the amount of whey isolate I integrate into my diet. It just feels a little artificial, to be honest.

Krath, I BBq'd a ton of chicken this past weekend and that is pretty much what I am living on. Of course, I am hitting all the other stuff too.

Thanks for the link. I typed in the food I ate today and came out with a whopping 2500 calories. Since the program says I am in Track III, I feel pretty good about eating Track II calories. Kinda funny though...2500 calories without thinking much about it.

this is what I am eating, and i actually like most of the stuff i eat. The hardest part I noticed was it was hard to finish some meals, but oh well, people know better than I do.
Looking forward to Plyo tomorrow...should kick my bootay!

Hey krath, I hope your right about ARX. I am one day behind you and I'm dreading my 2nd round of ARX. I struggled mightily yesterday with it, but I think I'll lower my reps tomorrow to pace myself better. Its nice seeing so many people going through this at the same time. I feel like I'm more accountable. I'm thinking that after my plyo workout I did this evening I won't be able to walk tomorrow.

seriously, two days after plyo and i still don't want to crouch. I knelt down to turn a faucet on this morning, and my thighs screamed "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!@?! NOOOOOOO STAY UP THERE!!!!" I had yoga x tonight, and that stretched me out mighty fine. some of the moves were pretty ridiculous, though.
I will throw in a word of warning: I tend to have lower back pain, and I've done some yoga in the past. Moves like Cobra (which wasn't really exhibited, but Tony said, "You can do Cobra here if you like" and/or Upward Dog tend to be very hard on my lower back. If you tend to have lots of trouble with lower back pain, I would recommend replacing Upward Dog (not to be confused with Downward Dog, which never gives me troubles) with something like Cow Pose (Referred to as the one of the two parts of Cat's Pose in the Yoga X video) http://yoga.about.com/od/yogasequences/ss/catcow_2.htm
Cow pose is a good stretch for the back and is very gentle. If you feel that Upward Dog is putting too much strain on your lower back, it might be a better option for you.
