Started Monday... 4 Months, 3 Weeks ago Karma: 0
So my wife and I started the program on Monday, and felt the first day, Chest and Back, was well deserving of the difficult title. This was all until we did the plyometrics last night. Never have I uttered more foul language at a single person on TV then I did towards Tony when he said it was time for Mary Katherines one more time. It got to a point where my wife and I would collapse on the floor and just laugh hysterically at our selves and how much this video is working us over.

We have Shoulders and Arms tonight, which I am looking forward to, then ab ripper x, which I am not looking forward to. At one point Monday, my wife looked like a fish out of water trying to keep up with Tony and the gang.

The best thing about the p90x, for us, is that it is fun and we, so far, are enjoying ourselves (even if everything hurts right now).

Just to note, neither my wife or I am too out of shape. I am 6' and 210lb and my wife is ~5'10" maybe 150lb (just had a baby so not sure). We are pretty active people, but we certainly like food.

My husband and I are one day ahead of you guys. Your post sounded a lot like us! We are enjoying this as a couples effort, I can't wait to see my husband doing yoga tonight. I might be laughing too hard to do it myself. He has never done yoga before in his life. Anyway, thought I would just say hi and yes we are just as sore as you guys. I have to take my time just to do the sitting motion today!Enjoy and goodluck BRINING IT!

Another day of feeling the pain from the ab ripper portion. Tonight we do yoga, and I must admit I have never done a yoga move before (outside of what Tony does during warm up/cool downs). My wife has a few Yoga dvds she used to do, so she will be better suited for it.

It took all our energy to get out of bed this morning. We are so looking forward to the soreness stopping, next week probably.

Anyway, good luck with the program! I will get some pictures up when we hit the 30 day mark.

Luckybob, get ready to sweat. I've never sweat so much in my life as when doing Yoga X. Serious puddles of sweat on the floor when I was done. Had to mop it up

Having the pain go away, is closer than you think Bob. Most people actually tend to shake a large portion of it after Yoga. Your arms will prevent you from enjoying the first 30-40min of Yoga, but still after its all done, I am guessing you will feel a lot better.

Also, couples effort rocks. You get to laugh at each other when trying to figure out Kenpo punches, and motivate each other to get that last rep. Also I can definately relate to the falling on the floor laughing.

There is a move I believe its called: Twisting Half Moon, on the yoga video. You will probably fall over with your wife while both of you say "How the hell do you even do that!!?" There are some pretty crazy poses you have to hold that no sane person could think up.

I am not allowed to work out without a towel on the floor. My wife does not want the house smelling like a gym. I am a huge sweater, after an hour of any rigorous physical activity my shirt is soaked through and through.

Fantastic! I like seeing couples jump into this. My wife and I are on the program as well...I am into week 5 and she is repeating her first week (ended up getting pretty sick and had to back out for a week). The results prove the program. We are like everyone else...need to focus on the diet and solve it. We both love food and that has been the hardest part.

Best of luck to you too!

So the holidays were not nice to us. We finished up Yoga last Thursday, but we went to the beach Friday, and got back too late to start up. We then had a BBQ Saturday and again missed our workout. We decided to call this first week a warm-up and to start the official Day one today.

In the future we have decided to squeeze in the workout no matter what, even if she has to do it during the day while I am at work, and I have to finish it up after the kids are in bed.

We are still both excited about getting back on track and staying there.
