Somethings wrong 10 Months, 2 Weeks ago Karma: 0
i have no idea what is going on. I am on day 9 of the p90x plan and i have seen some good results. That being said my performance is becoming worse and i can't seem to be even finishing the workouts due to boredom and lack of concentration. It's strange i'm also feeling different in my moods, either i'll get extremely angry, depressed or apathetic and it feels like i'm not making good progress (even though i have seen some good results.

try working out at a different time of day, like early morning or something like that. Also, try to make sure you're getting enough sleep every night. You actually gain muscle when you sleep, as your body repairs the damage you've done working out. At least 7 hours will make sure of that.

The diminished ability makes sense, as you've been working really hard and are still getting used to the workouts. You've shocked the system, and you're body is now having to work on itself like it hasn't had to in years. Your performance is going to dip, but stick with it. It will go back up once your body starts getting used to the idea that it has to keep up with what youre doing.

Working out earlier will solve that? hm, well i guess i'll give it a try, also is it normal to not feel so sore after the workouts? during the first week i pushed myself quite hard and from what i've been reading it's expected to feel sore into the next week, in my situation the soreness was gone after three days.

Also, are you following the nutrition plan? If you are, it could be that you aren't getting enough carbs to fulfill your body's needs. Try adding a serving or two of carbs per day and see what happens?

It's perfectly normal for the soreness to go away after a few days. Those who are sore for a week probably pushed too hard the first week. I am rarely sore, and if I am a little sore, it's 1-2 days.

You may also need to add a serving of carbs. You may end up with low blood sugar if you are not getting enough.

depending on what you were doing or not doing prior could affect your moods as well. last year, when I first started Body for Life, it was a total diet and exercise overhaul for me and my moods went all over the map for about a month.

now, starting P90x, even though I've been exercising and eating healthy for a year, my moods are all over the place the past week, I'm thinking it's because P90x is so much more intense and need to look better at my nutrition intake. I'm glad you posted this because it reminded me to look at this myself as maybe this is why my moods are all over. I'm on day 8 just for reference.
