Should I restart? 1 Year, 2 Months ago Karma: 0
Hey gang,

I haven't posted on here lately, been busy with work and the holidays and stuff. Anyway, I started p90x a month ago, went through week 1 but got sick so I restarted and finished week 1 and 2, but week 2 ran through Christmas and I was unable to workout Thursday and Friday and Saturday, and also got off track with my nutrition. I expect this week to be about the same, I have a bunch of friends coming down for New Years, and you know how that goes....

So....should I restart the whole program on Monday January 5th or try and rebound this week and fight through New Years week?

Thanks!

PS, I had been working out for the past 6 months and after 3 weeks of doing P90X (with AB ripper X), I see ab definition for once!

I suggest you stick with it! Stopping for another week is only going to give you another excuse to eat poorly and continue bad habits. Even if your nutrition isn't great, getting those workouts in will help motivate you to try harder. If at the end of the week you don't feel like you did enough for it to count towards your first 3 weeks, then you can decide to do it over, but I would give it a shot!

Hey guys, I just did plyo, even though I was supposed to do Chest and back today...Will it be okay to do Ab Ripper X back to back days (Tuesday & Wednesday)? I will probably be hungover on Thursday so Yoga should be fine to do....does anybody have any tips to prevent a hangover?? I've heard alot in my day.....any "X" advice for drinking?

Thanks!

Yes...drink low calorie non-alcoholic beverages and you won't blow your diet or get a hangover.

I answered your other switch question on your other thread, but about ARX, if you MUST, you could do it 2 days in a row, but if you could do the first one in the morning, and the second one in the evening, that would be better. Anyhow, if you do Yoga/Kenpo instead of S&A, then S&A, then Kenpo/Yoga, then L&B, this will give you the break you should have between resistance routines.

If you're going to drink alcohol, DRINK LOTS AND LOTS OF WATER both in the evening and in the morning, way more than usual to make up for the dehydrating effects. Also, make sure you eat carbs when you wake up, because your sugar levels will crash bigtime. You're not going to feel as good as usual, but it will be less bad.

P.S. if you have a bad day on Thursday, you can do X Stretch instead.
