p90x tomorrow. Excited, but curious 1 Year, 2 Months ago Karma: 0
Everyone says week one is tough, I work out a bit but took a couple weeks off. My question is, should i go full speed the first workout?

here is my two sense... I lifted hard 4 times a week and I m in the first week. What I have found is msucles that I lifted hard and regularly (chest, back, arms) I was able to keep up with out too much trouble and didnt have to pace myself. Now I never worked my abs... my first attempt at ab ripper x was pathetic and poly I needed to pace myself and really watch what Tony was doing. So I say if you have trained a certain way regularlly go all out but if its someting new PACE yourself. My 2 cents.

Muscles dont just rebuild while you are sleeping, they are constantly tearing down and rebuilding. Most suggest 7-8 hours of sleep. That answer your question?

I just finished my first week and was a regular at my gym for a long time, just seemed to plateau. I am in decent shape and I will tell you the first week kicked my butt! I am feeling pretty good today, but Tuesday and Wednesday was pretty difficult. I will say that the workouts seemed to get a bit easier through the week. I don't know if that is by design, or if I was just starting to adapt. Just pace yourself and don't feel bad if you need to pause to catch your breath between sets. Good luck!

The pause button is going to be your new best friend. I am doing Round 2, and I still pause when necessary.

This is my meal schedule:

7:00 Oatmeal
10:00 Eggs
12-1 Lunch
4 Snack
5-6 Protein Bar(s) 1-2 hrs before workout.
7-8:00 or 8:30 WORKOUT

After workout: Recovery snack - Protein drink & 2 pieces of whole-grain toast with jam, I can't have dairy so )P90X drink is out for me

After recovery snack, prepare and eat Dinner

Yep, I was borderline on one belt notch, and I'm there now. I feel Healthy, I have a lot of energy, the only thing is around 9 10 at night I get hungry, but lots of water cures that.

Stay in contact you, me and Yeags can get through this together.

Yeah man we can. Yeah it's going to suck trying to fit routines in when you work nights and graves and not eating three hours before you sleep, but we will just have to see how it works. Have you posted any pics yet or are you planning on doing that later?

Well see I'm a nurse on ICU and school starts in a month so I will be doing graves from 5p to 5a, three times a week, so working out and sleeping are going to be dependent on those days I work...I guess I''ll just have to see what happens. What's been hardest movie and thing to do so far? I think you should stretch...even though I haven't done it my friend gave me his set and said he did better when he stretched that seventh day

Re:p90x tomorrow. Excited, but curious 1 Year, 2 Months ago Karma: 0
Just finished day 10 the biggest change I have seen is my back and shoulders. I have been going thru the routine and then finishing with a couple supersets on my universal to get the pump I m used to.

What are you actual goals?

I m trying to cut weight to get some additonal definition. I want my back chest and shoulder to grow and waist in without losing the mass on my arms.

The most difficult dvd(s) for me have been the ones toward flexability and core. As when I was lifting previously I solely concentrated on my arms and upper body.

How are you making out dvabulas?

My goal is to cut a ton of weight. Lose of size and trade that for definition. I want a really cut slim look. I am a thinned frame guy already, and wouldn't mind having a very cut body.

I am doing a ton of reps with low weights.

I want to come out of this with a nice six pack, and then train to get the 8 pack back
