So Last December my 36 inch jean started to become tight and I had to pick up 38 inch pants. This did not make me happy so decided that my resolution would be to get fit. I started doing the stairmaster on average 3 days a week on top of walking 1.5 miles 3 times a week. I have also changed my eating habits but i suppose i could do better. Come April i was 30 lbs lighter (200lbs) and into 34 inch jeans. I was please but since then i am up to 210lbs and haven't been able to drop it. I did incorporate some lifting, so this could be the reason for the gain but my goal is to be under 200lbs with a decent amount of muscle.
One of my close friends started this program a few weeks ago and suggested I give it a shot. I was hesitant at first due to it basically being 7 days a week for 90 days but hey New Years is now about 90 days away and I need to do something to check off this resolution. I have decided that this Monday the 15th I will start. Even though my friend is two weeks into it I'm sure we will help motivate each other as we are both competitive and don't want to be the one that didn't finish. The only issue i know im going to have is my honeymoon which is in about 60 days but i figure ill bring my laptop and continue. I plan on starting a log on this however im not a writer so i wouldnt expect much.

Well then welcome to the P90X community!
It's always good to have friends who are doing the same program as you are. Motitvation is a key factor in P90X because it can get frustrating.
I do believe you can reach your goal. With a good diet, you can easily knock off those pounds. But do not be frustrated when you do all this work but you do not loose weight or you gain some weight. If you have a good diet and to the exercises, your just gaining muscle. Muscle is more dense than fat so it's heavier for the buck. But soon after you will start to shed the fat them blam!
This forum has lots of good info with lots of good people. If you have any questions just ask.
Do log your progess wether it is on a piece of paper or on the forums. It's always nice to look back and see how much better you are doing.

Welcome Bro - The journey begins. You have support and motivation and my help if you need it. ( You prob will haha , I need this board )
If you do this right I think your going to love it. Step 1 is making the decision, step 2 is committing, and step 3 is achievement. I have no doubt this will be what your looking for.

Just wanted send a little update. I am on my 3rd week and still pushing play. I have not missed a day. I must say i haven't gotten sore since week one and i push as hard as i can on every work out. Maybe my body is getting use to the work outs already?
