oh my...I had no idea how to gauge myself for this first one and ended up completely drained half way through the second set. I was only able to do 89 push-ups (total) and 58 pull-ups.
I was so exhausted that I felt lightheaded like was going to be sick and had to stop.
I will get myself together and do the ab ripper later today.

i think that 89 push-ups and 58 pull-ups are good for the day 1. try to do abs too.
make sure that you eat healthy, take a lots of water and control breathing during exercises.

Day 1 Done!
Im doing push ups on my KNEES! its pathetic.. couldnt believe how ive let my body go.. im so out of shape. and couldn't do decline pushups off chair either. but like tony said Rome wasn't built in one day neither was your body! but i finished chest and back with ripper X, Ab ripper X was tough! prob only did about 70% of it.. but i at least tryed.. and using chair to assist me with pull ups til i can build strength in my arms... ive heard the first month is the hardest, can't wait to improve!

i think it was a good day 1 for all of us... we all have different startin points..but have the same end goal in mind...to BE HEALTHY!
and like maya said eat healthy...eating is like 70-80% of the end results.
and this might sound dumb but really we're here to train our minds 1st and then our bodies... u gotta train yourself to do the work. and once thats done everything else will fall into place.
lets keep it up for day 2... plyos is a lot of energy..and some pain.

Well, ive done warm up on chest and back before today.. and woke up sore as hell! so im expecting the same tomorrow.. but hopefully Pylo will stretch out the soreness!
but yeah diet is important.. i'm on my 8th day of a low carb keto diet i feel leaner.. and have plenty of energy.. love it!

Finished my first day. I have a previously broken elbow (has a metal screw in it) that was causing me some discomfort but I managed to finish. I did 70 pushups total and 40 pull/chin-up. Exhausted, I'm going to bed. See you all tomorrow.

wow whip...58 pullups? I sucked on Friday...my first day. I did total of 126 pushups and 29 PULLUPS!!! 29!!! geez...Can't wait till I build that up.

WoW !! 10/12/09 is gone but tomorrow is a new day.
I did it . It was hard but i Did it . i didn't think i would be able too ,but i pushed myself .

Congrats to all at successful 1st day.
our day 2 is on!
just finished Plyometrics. all sweaty...have sore muscles from yesterday...that's good, i guess, muscles are working.
trying to eat on portion plan, level 1, but i can't manage to eat 5 'units' of protein...especially because i don't like meat very much, so there's not much variations...

Hey guys. I kinda started yesterday, i mean i completed core synergistics (very poorly i might add, only finished about 50% of the routines) but i hate it. core synergistics sucks. So im thinking of switching fomr lean to classic, so today im going to attempt the classic first day, chest and back. Going to go do ti right now, seeya, and wish me luck, im so out of shape haha.

Try a protein shake. Most are high protein and low fat. You can also try tuna or fish instead of turkey or chicken. Also egg whites have a ton of protein with very little fat. There's other ways of getting protein beside serving of meat like beans.

@ maya: If you don't really like meat I would recommend you supplement with protein shakes. Are you? Otherwise you can get a lot of protein from eggs, fish (I don't if you dislike it as much as meat), almonds, brocolli, milk, yogurt, cheese (low-fat  ) and many more.

I can eat meat, but maybe twice a week, every day would be real torture. I like fish much more...don't drink any protein shakes.
I will try to insert more soy, broccoli, low fat yogurt, white eggs, tofu...
And have one more question.
if I combine food as they recommended in 'Phase 1 - portion plan', I have to eat 5 protein 'units' per day...so, can I eat broccoli, yogurt as protein, though they are not listed as proteins?
