Great job!
I did not plan to get on scale until days 30, 60 & 90. That is my plan now. I was more curious than anything. I took a couple of pictures w/ cell phone. I am really not into all of that. It is great for some people, just not for me. The results at the end should speak for themself, I hope. Plus, my cell phone does not have a wide angle lens.
I didn't want to go Dr. Phil on my earlier post. I just think it is important to be help accountable. Also, it is a selfish way to make sure I finish, as talk comes cheap. Got to back it up.
Have a nice weekend!

Week 1 in the books. I have learned alot. I am much calmer now that I am starting to get a feel/flow of things. I really look forward to the workouts. Equipment, nutrition & supplements are in place. Now it is just DO IT.
Today is a rest/recovery day. I have a lot of fat to shred, so I struggled with cardio & stretching in Wk 1. I feel I need to get the fat off as quick as possible to improve in the other areas of P90X.
So, I did YogaX & X Stetch today. I was sweating out all that old Honey Mustard Sauce, gravey and Miller Lite the entire time. I think it was important to complete those workouts for me. I did it early so I can hangout & enjoy the Breeders Cup today.
Regarding Recovery Drink. I have decided to stay with the ISOPURE & use it as a protein shake. It has 0 carbs, & that is what I need to drop the lbs. I tried the 1% choc. milk & Whey Protein. It was great & I looked forward to that. But, with that & a protein bar, the carbs were to high & my weight loss slowed down. I think, as I did not dog any workouts.
I have learned a true recovery drink does have the 4:1 ratio carbs to protein.
I suggest L-Glutamine. Also, fish oil. There cheap & they work.
Looking forward to Week 2 on Sunday!
Have a good weekend.

Hey. Did anyone else do X Stretch today? I was really sore after Kenpo, especially in my calves, so I decided to do it. I'm really happy that I did. It's easy and I feel like it really helped me recoup for week 2 starting tomorrow.
Tony mentions a few times that stretching is really important because it will bring out more from your workouts. So why isn't it part of the schedule instead of just instead of rest?
Also, is anyone doing any extra cardio? I'm sure the program works as is, but I really feel like I could be doing more, like maybe running on lifting days (or today).

Phase 1: Day 1 of Week 2: Chest, Back & AR-X
I hope I do not ruin this for anyone, but I was shocked. Last Sunday I was wobbling around like a drunken sailor.
Today, I was much calmer. I could keep up w/pace much better. I did not hit pause unitl right after Round 2, Heavy Pants. Amazing!
Pushed heavier weights. I am trying the 8-10 rep range. Still using lat pull down vs. pull ups.
Took a short break. Changed the t-shirt, washed the face. Jumped right into AR-X.
If I can do this, anyone can. Very impressed with the improvement!
Best workouts to all! Bring it!

Hey Gunnski. Keep up the good work. I felt a little better today, but I still suck at pull-ups. I actually did some real dive bomb push ups today. I did about 7 good ones (last week I couldn't do any). The second round kills me though. By the time I got to decline push-ups, my arms just gave out. I finished up with girl push-ups on my knees again. I figured it's better to do that than nothing at all. Like Tony says, "Do your best, and forget the rest".
I also tried doing AR-X right after, but I wasn't doing very well, so I decided to do it later in the day. I must be doing something wrong, because the in-and-outs and bicycles hurt my legs more than my abs.

Well did Chest and Back again and was pleased. I only paused once because of restroom break. Last week I paused it like 4 or 5 times to catch my breath. Got Plyo today and not really looking forward to it becuase I have bad knees. Will take it easy but still push myself.
Sucks I didn't get to take Day 0 pics and still haven't take any but thats ok. I can find one to compare to.

Hey everyone~!
Had a GREAT weekend. Kenpo on Friday was a blast…and a GREAT workout. Definitely my favorite so far…looking forward to it again this week.
I did no workouts on Saturday, as I was doing some work around my house cleaning and moving some stuff. Sunday I had to help my Mother-in-Law move furniture…heavy lifting all day in and out of trucks, etc…so I wasn’t sure I’d make it through my P90X workout. But I decided the furniture moving did not substitute for a real workout, so I did the Chest / Back and AR X.
Moved up in weights and reps, was able to do more reps of some exercises….for AR X, last week I could barely do some of the exercises and a couple of them I literally COULD NOT do…this week I was able to do them all, for a few reps each. So that felt good.
Looking forward to Plyo tonight.
Glad to see everyone is still hanging in there~! Week 2 underway~!!
PLAY~!

Good Morning all~!!
Day 3, Week 2 is upon us~!! Lookiing forward to Shoulders and Arms tonight. I've always enjoyed weight-training my upper body...it responds well, so it's fun for me.
Plyo last night was a little bit easier than the first week. My cardio still isn't what I'd like it to be...I'm considering adding 2 - 3 days at the gym in the AM doing just cardio. But the jumping, etc wasn't quite as hard this time around. I still wasn't able to keep up with the crew for the entire length of each exercise, but I felt better about it...
How did everyone do? Ready to press PLAY today??
Have a good one~!!

Plyo was still tough. I pushed it a little harder than last week, but I felt good afterwards. I also feel like I'm not getting enough cardio from p90x. I'm considering adding cardio X or just some good ol' running on the weight training days and the rest day. I've been a little more sore this week, but that's probably because I'm pushing it a little harder than last week.
Keep up the good work everyone, and bring it!

I haven't looked at the Cardio X vid yet...what kind of cardio is it? I could maybe do that in the AM and save myself the trip to the gym. Have you checked it out yet?

Yes, is the Carido X vid good? Becuase I think I will be alternating it with Plyo. My knees are really bad and missing 66% of my maniscus in my right knee is rough.

I haven't done Cardio X yet, but I did do Core Synergistics. Personally, I think that was even harder than Plyo.

Where'd everyone go?
Welp, I am one day behind this week. I missed Tuesday night because I suddenly had an incredibly sore throat. I am not one to ever get sick, so I skipped just in case it was the start of a bad cold or something (my gym is in the garage, and it's chilly out there...didn't want to risk getting REALLY sick).
But, I felt better yesterday, so i did Shoulders and Arms, will do Yoga tonight...I'm just behind a day. I figure Tuesday was my rest day this week is all.
How is everyone coming along? Still pressing PLAY??

Hope you are feeling better.
I would not stress out on missing 1 wkout., due to illness. Important to get healthy first. You can make up the missed day on day #7 rest or Stretch X.
Consistant wkouts. are key. I am famous for missing one, then two. them I'll do 1/2 a wkout. and plan to make one up on a rest day. It becomes a mess in your head. Plus a plan for disaster/failure.
I can guarentee you I will be here until 1/29/10.
(2) wkouts. left & Week #2 X'd off the books. Nice!
I am going to do StrecthX on Sat., possibly YogaX too. I did that last week. It paid huge dividens this week.
I still need to get those Yoga blocks. I think they will help better complete the YogaX wkout.
Much stronger with YogaX yesterday. Man, what a stretch! I hurt all the way down to my ankles.
Stay disciplined! Wkout. smart.

Still here. Yoga was rough again yesterday. Got legs and Back today and not looking forward to the Wall sits lol. I'm not slacking on the working out but I am a little on the Nutrition. I'm eating healthier foods, just hard to get everything set and laid out for me.

Hey. Is everyone still hanging in there? Two weeks down, 10 to go, or as I like to think of it 1/6 of the way there. I haven't noticed much difference in my gut yet. I'm hoping that will come soon. I have to admit, I slacked a little on legs and back because I didn't get to do the workout until 10pm, so I was exhausted. Other than that, I'm doing the best I can. I also didn't have time yesterday, so I did Kenpo X today, and I feel good.
How are you all doing?

Still kicking & pushing. No missed workouts. ABR X is improving.
I loaded up today on more supplements & finally purchased some yoga blocks.
Diet is going well. I have no cravings & not feeling hungry all the time. I think I have gotten over the low carb. hump.
I took the battery out of my scale, as I was becoming a scale junkie. Worse than crack! Going to hold off & weigh in on day 30.
I Really noticed alot of improvement in the workout in Wk.2 over the grease fire in Wk.1
Week 3 starts in morning.
I have been eyeing those Select-A-Weights. I checked out Gold's & Bow Flex. Almost pulled the trigger today. I think I'll wait until 90 days is completed & then buy them.
Keep hitting it everyday. No excuses!

I feel really bad. Slacked last Friday and skipped Kempo and then was really busy Saturday so I skipped it again, and I really don't want to get off my routine so did Chest and Back lastnight. I will have to work on the Friday workout.

Hey everyone~!!
Started week 3 last night~! All is good on my end. I have noticed an improvement in reps and weights since week 1. Workouts are getting easier, so thereby more fun. I have to admit I'm looking forward to week 4 to do something different. 3 weeks of the same thing is enough...need to change it up.
I'm trying really hard to stay off the scale. People are saying I look better, but my weight isn't really changing. I think I'll wait until Day 30 to weigh again, or I'm going to drives myself crazy~!
Looking forward to Plyo tonight, and I never thought I would say that.
Keep pressing PLAY~!!
P.S. I'm so proud of all of us that we're still hanging in there. Thanks for the support~!!
