Looking into P90X - vegetarian worthy? 1 Year, 4 Months ago Karma: 0
I am researching a work out plan as I do need to get my azz in gear. I am a 31 yr old male, 6 ft 3" and weigh 155 lbs or so. I sound skinny but have body fat and no definition whatsoever...

Its time I did something and stuck to it.

I am a vegetarian from birth and want to stay that way - I eat protein bars, drink protein shakes, eat egss in certain forms etc - not one of dem crazy vegan types. I smoke on and off and quit again last week. I seem to be able to start and stop easily - when I stress out, I turn to marlboro's...lol. Not a big drinker, but drink wine or cocktails once in a while, maybe 1 or 2 drinks max a night...

Will the nutritional guide be worth it for me?

The nutrition guide comes with the program. I believe that all lunches and dinners include a meat menu. Breakfast would be easy with egg whites. I think (i'm no expert) that as long as you can get the necessary protein intake and your vitamins, you should be good to go.

I think others would agree on this...you will need to not smoke or drink while doing the program.

do you eat fish?

i'm a new "fishetarian". i stopped eating eggs, chicken, red meat and dairy a month before starting p90x. i'm getting most of my protein from soy protein powder (mixed with soy milk) and of course alot of fish (salmon and tuna).

but there are threads at beachbody.com (under the p90x) section where some people are vegetarian doing this program.

Mr. Brown,

I didn't eat much meat during the program. I ate lots of egg whites, lentils, hummus, and some fish. As long as you eat some protein you should be ok.

Thanks much, gang. That makes me feel better. Now I need to see if I can find this cheaper online somewhere...
