Hi-
I'm 33 yr male, 215lbs, 5'10". I'm about 25 lbs over weight.
I go to the Y every week on a regular basis and attend spinning classes that I really like. I also have a workout routine. And I also run about 6-8 miles when the weather permits.
But my diet sucks. I drink a lot of beer and eat crap- pizza, subs, and tons of desserts.
Every January I detox- I clean up my act.
I've heard a lot about this P90X program. My big concern is I actually LIKE GOING TO THE GYM. Can I use this program at the gym?
From what I've seen, the big piece of this is Muscle Confusion. If the P90X program is best in front of a TV, can you recommend a program where I can use it at the gym?
THANKS!

The program comes with a booklet that outlines every exercise in the videos. the videos do help with pacing and keeping it to an hour workout or so, but it isn't absolutely neccesary. Once you've seen the exercises performed and can remember how to do them, you can just take to book to the gym and do the workout there.
However, there are several exercises that use no weights or anything, like yoga and plyo. Seems like, according to the classic program, you could do mon wed and fri in the gym, and do the tues thurs and sat stuff at home. At least, this will work for the first month. I've not gotten beyond that yet.
It all depends on how much that gym membership is worth to you

I do my workouts at the Y as well... Just use a dandy little video mp3 player I got for 60 bucks, and hit the gym... Now the folks there might look at you a little odd for the exercises your doing, but eventually they always come up and have interesting questions..

Zugg,
Good idea... I do have an iPhone. Maybe I could use that.
This sounds like a dumb question, but I guess you don't have to be looking at the video the entire time? I don't know if I could hold up an iPhone while exercising....
Seems like I'm splitting hairs, but I need to make sure I understand everything.
thanks,

Is there a place on this forum that details moving my DVDs to my iPod? I would like to take the workout with me when I travel but am struggling with how to get my DVDs on my iPod video.
