Hell no!
I missed plyo yesterday because my body just said no, so I made it up this morning.
Davidg, according to my husband, a ruptured disc feels like someone has tied a chain to each end of your spine and is pulling in 2 directions. I took him through the last surgery (the 1st 2 were before we met) and by the time surgery was scheduled, he couldn't walk. When it first happened, he literally crawled into the chiropractors office and laid on the floor in the waiting room. The Dr. came out, looked at him and said, "Ruptured disc, huh?" It is an agonizing pain from what he described. It's a humbling experience to see your big strong husband curled in a ball moaning in pain.
Yesriko, welcome! Way to go on the 1/2 training. I'm building up, albeit slowly. It's amazing what time away from running will do to your fitness...yuck.

BTW, I was just thinking that we should change the name from round 2 to the injury round. Sounds like we are all getting injured in some way. First Big's back, then my neck, now David's back and Jess's chest. Brings new meaning to the phrase, "I'm going to be healthy if it kills me."

We have all had our share of difficulties this time around, but we are still kicking and still bringing it!! I can honestly say I wouldn't have been able to stick it out this time without you all!! My wife is no help because she thinks I've lost enough and really doesn't want me to keep going, but I did feel very guilty during my 3 week break, like I was letting my team down... so thank all of you for providing me motivation!!

First, nice to meet ya Dave and Yesriko!

Second, I agree that just being able to stop in here several times a week helps keep me focused. My wife doesn't have any weight problems, cuz she just plain doesn't eat anything. So, there is very little support there. So, I too would like to say y'all ROCK!

Well, Today was Back and Biceps and I headed to the basement at 4am to see what I could do. Turns out pullups don't hurt my sore back and the biceps exercises didn't either. So, I put that one behind me. I didn't try ARX, thought that would be painfull, but I'll try some standing ab exercises (or maybe hanging from pull up bar leg lifts) when I get home. I am so happy to be able to do something. I was feeling rotten.

I appreciate that Bugger, like I've always said, we all got this program for a reason, we all need the motivation from time to time and it's great to be able to talk to all of you and experience what everyone is going through.

This is for BigHurt but anyone can benefit from it, I don't know how you are keeping track of your calories but I was referred to this website by master_le and it has helped me break through with my diet. It keeps track of p-c-f ratios and helps me keep my diet perfectly balanced. You probably have it all figured out but I had to mention it because of how much it helped me, and if it helps anyone else that's great too. Between that and Boomer's tips, I have everything completely figured out and it puts my mind at ease. I can do my best and forget the rest!

I agree...this should be the injury round! I was not pleased about my chest, I've also had issues with my wrist & knee. Not fun! But you guys are my push to keep going everyday! My fiance just thinks I'm obsessed with working out, so it's nice to have you guys for the encouragement!

Thanks Pat!! I have been winging it, but after using this tool, I see I wasn't doing too bad. I really like it and will continue to use it!! Maybe this is the missing link to pulling off the unthinkable like Boomer and dropping down to the low teen's or single digit bodyfat!! I'm very happy with my chest, shoulders, arms and legs right now.. the only thing left to come along is the midsection... and even it looks tons better than it did back in Jan. when I started this!!

I destroyed B&B tonight. I upped my weight from using 12 lbs routinely and doing 12-18 reps to 15 lbs and 8-10 reps. I am going to feel it tomorrow. I may swap P90X yoga for a Rodney Yee video. Yoga Burn sounds good. Added bonus, his yoga is only an hour.

Re:Gun Club 4/13 start 9 Months, 3 Weeks ago Karma: 7
Thanks, Boomer. Hubby mentioned last night about training for a 1/2 marathon next May. I wanted to do it this year but my running got sidetracked. I figure with our busy schedules it will take about a year to properly prepare for it. I would love to do the Disney marathon for my 40th birthday...luckily I have several years to train for that one...lol.
Today, I am sore from my feet to my neck. Plyo, ARX and B&B...ouch. The soreness is going to get progressively worse as the day goes on. Bring on Rodney Yee, my little Asian rubber-man.

Did Yoga X yesterday minus the moves where my ass would have been over my head (someone told me once that if you find yourself with your ass over your head that that was a sure sign that something bad was happening). Today I did ARX before B&L and it went fine. I think I will survive after all. I am going to make up for this Monday and Tuesday during my "Rest Week" next week.

Re:Gun Club 4/13 start 9 Months, 3 Weeks ago Karma: 7
ROFL, David! Way to go! Plough pose is not my favorite either, I always feel like my chest is constricted.
I did Rodney Yee last night, Yoga Burn. Ooooh boy! I had forgotten just how sore your arms get after holding downward dog for what feels like forever while raising your legs (slowly) and twisting around, made even more painful by the fact that my arms were/are incredibly sore from B&B. My son did it with me and found out rather quickly that there is more to yoga than posing and breathing.
Got L&B tonight..joy!
BTW, I got another sticky!!!! It's in this thread, so check it out!

RJ: Glad you liked it. I smile/giggle every time I think of it. Oh, yeah, I know what you mean about the chest constriction in Plough pose! I have a number of Rodney's videos but haven't seen 'Yoga Burn.' Is it new? Um, what is the 'Sticky' thing about?!?

Here is a link to a clip from Yoga Burn: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uRRgNUlXSYU&feature=PlayList&p=1252ABBA1EE8B246&playnext=1&playnext_from=PL&index=14

It's my favorite yoga video to do. It's been out for several years, I just haven't seen it very much.
The sticky is in response to some of the recent questions about which version to do, and answers regarding the whole muscle weighs more than fat issue. I get tired of reading the same questions over and over when someone can just do a search. Surely someone doesn't think that they are the first person to ask about which version to do.
