Happy Birthday Mig!

We started our 4th week! Yoga was great. My wrist is sort of hurting. I think I might need to do some stretching exercises for my wrist before yoga next time. We have core for the first time tomorrow. We watched the video, oh boy, looks extreme. CAN'T WAIT! Diet is still doing good. School will be finished Wed. as long as I pass the test. Keeping my figures crossed. Keep Pressing Play!

Thanks Ang

Hope all goes well with the exams.

Let us know how you get on with Core. Was nice today to think 'no more plyo for 2 weeks!! phew!!' ... but I may live to regret that if Core is hard.

Feeling a lot fitter and slimmer so am still pleased with my progress to date.

Hey, another anniversary of someone's life... nice. Enjoy.

I went through all the videos and it looks like Core is one of the more evil ones. Still, go at your own pace, don't strain yourself, enjoy the humor, the work you do accomplish, and by week 13 you should enjoy the workouts even more

For instance, yesterday, I did Ab Ripper and did 25 in&outs, but 10 of everything else (or on each side). I still got a workout, but I finished all the moves. Eventually, I will do all 349 (maybe even more), but I had to start somewhere and be happy with the progress I make and not compare it to the progress my wife makes or what someone else can do.

The week 5,6,7 Mon and Wed workouts scare me a little, but that is because I watched the beginning of each set just to see what they were doing and yikes! So, once I do it, I will feel better about it, but the first time I watched Plyometrics, I didn't think I could do it, but I finished almost all of it with them (I can't do rockstars because of my knees). So, I was happy. And I look forward to the same progress on the others, which is why they work.

Keep on doing what you can, writing down what you did (and ignoring it until you do it again, where you will see some improvement, somewhere). I really like this series of DVD's and I suggest following the music, it is well timed.

Hi All,

So I am in week 3, day 2 of the P90X program and to be honest I am loving it. It really is an extreme workout. I am in week 3 and I have already lost some body fat and gained muscle mass as well;keeping my actual weight of 160pounds constant.

A quick question- Is it true that many P90X people start seeing results in phase 2 and not in phase1 (specially the loss of body fat)?? Please let me know.

Bring It! and Keep working hard to get those "guns"

Plyo done..
I have done more than last week but it is still hard...
I had a good sweat, probably burned a lot of calories.

btw, what should be my HR during plyo and kempo?
so far I tried to be in the 65-80% (120-152), is that good?

Did the Plyo workout last night and it was great. I was so tired after ward, both my wife and I kept up the whole way through and really felt good.

It seems to be getting easier, meaning I'm doing all the moves. But harder because I'm doing all the moves. If you get my meaning.

Hope everyone is still sticking with it. I'll have to say both of us are really noticing a difference. I haven't lost weight, but I had to move up a belt notch yesterday.

Keep Bringing it everyone!!

nice kooling....yeah just keep in increasing the weight as you can.....writing it down is KEY! i never use to do it until P90x and it has been helping me a ton to remember what i used last time.

I dont know if i posted this tip in this forum but if you want to make pullups/chinups harder, instead of placing the chair in front, place it behind you with ur feet hanging off the edge of the seat.....im not sure if it is in fact better than having it in front but i remember my high school coach teaching me that way...when i tried it, it definitely felt harder having it behind me rather than in the front.....i dont know i need some feedback on this! someone try it out and let me know!

Thanks for the motivation fatal1ty. I second that- writing it down is KEY! I never used to do it myself until P90X happened.

Yes, I read this tip of yours and I might give it a shot from next week as I am planning to use a chair for pullups.i haven't been using chairs at all, and its so tough without a chair though :-D but all's worth it..

Hows your journey of P90x coming along?

Last night we did core! All I can say is HOLY COW! I think I sweated more with this one than any of the ones I have done so far. All those supermans, bananas, bows and boats killed me. I loved it! BRING IT!

I passed my school exams today! Now, I have to take the state exams (hopefully) in 2 weeks. Tomorrow I am sleeping in.

My diet is still doing good. I have been craving a big fat cheese burger with lots of cheese, bacon, & mayo between a yummy fluffy white bread bun. This Sunday is fathers day and my parents will be grilling out. I will be passing on all the yummy stuff and just eating the burger without the bun and all the extras.

Kenpo is waiting for me so I hafta go Press Play!

Just finished ABRX and Shoulders & Arms. I am usually a 6-10 rep person, but today I did around 13-15 on all of em with lower weight. I can already tell that my muscles are gonna be sore from mixing it up.
I have Cardio X Tonight. I am ready to Bring It, haha.

EDIT:

Finished Cardio X, I really like this workout because I know that I can Crush EVERYTHING and still be able to finish. Mostly because I dont get as out of breath as I do with Plyo. Also (I live in Colorado) Thin Air.

Maybe it's time to fold you legs for the side tri rise. I found that if you bend your knee and try to put you feet close to your butt, you can't use as much your core to help on the rise, and more involvement of the triceps...

A piece of advice for side tri rises- do this exercise in front of the mirror- you will be able to maintain a good and proper form as you can see how your body is aligned. Not that I do all exercises while standing in front of the mirror.LOL, but i find doing the side tri rises helps me a lot..

did YogaX this morning, had a banana/almonds for a quick snack before..great workout....still can't do the crane well haha...some of the moves were actually a bit harder to do compared to the first time maybe because i worked much more in plyo/shoulders+arms cuz my shoulders were definitely feeling the burn on the warrior pose!

and yeah that sounds good actually,i will def try bending my knees next workout. i really try not to cheat and not use my core to help me up. and try to fully extend my arm as much as i can

Did Yoga X earlier, That has got to be one of the most boring workouts ever. lol. Why cant they just play some disturbed or three days grace, instead of the usual elevator music, (If you can call it music) haha. jk. I usualy just turn off the music on the video's and just listen for the cues, and listen to my own music, except I am not good enough at yoga to do that yet.

I've been bringin it this week! I've been dreading the workout, but once I get started.....it's all good! I loved Shoulder and Arms yesterday....it's my favorite. I did KenpoX tonight instead of Yoga because I got a late start. I'll do Yoga this weekend.
I'm already mentally preparing for the pain of Push-ups and Pull-ups tomorrow!
I've been eating great this week! So far in 18 days, I've only had 1 pizza slip up.
I'm lovin my 'Recovery Drinks' too! (Chocolate Milk and Whey Protein)

I have lost 3 lbs! Woohoo! Most importantly, I feel better already!

Come on June 1st-ers....only 72 days to go!
