Beginner Here...Started today...IS this for real?? 5 Months, 1 Week ago Karma: 0
What's up everybody, Tonight was my first night of p90x, had my protein shake and right now I can barely type lol. I got through all but the last exercise so a this point I'm out of shape but proud that I made it through. I had to do all my pull ups with the help of the chair, which I'm hoping to soon be doing them without. Any way, if there is anyone else that just started maybe we can share tips or just support each other. I just moved from ca to tx and I've been wanting to get in shape for a while, I'm so glad to finally be DOING IT! BRING IT ON!

Oh, by the way. I'm 28 years old, 173 lbs, 5'10", and 19% body fat. My goal is like most to lose the keg and get ripped!!!

Welcome and congrats on your first day of pain. Just wait until you start day 2. Ask any of your questions here, there's plenty of people willing to help you on your P90X journey.

I'm not a Doctor, Nutritionist, or Medical Professional of any sort...but I did stay at a Holiday Inn last night.

I'm getting ready to start my third week and I am still doing pullups with a chair. just letting you know so you don't get discouraged early on I am able to do 3-4 pull ups of every kind except for the switch grip ones (which you'll see on day 5 ), and I don't feel that's enough to give me more strength, so I add the chair after I max out on pullups. Welcome to Hell, 90 days from now you'll be in heaven though Keep pressing play and bring it!

Today will be Day 1 Round 4 of P90X. I love Chest and Back day. It still makes me sore. And yes I still use the chair to get extra pullups. I can only do a max of 8 so far but I can pump out another 15-20 with the chair.
Ask all the question you need to. We are here to help.

Thanks for the encouragement peeps, makes me feel like less of a couch potato lol. After lasts night's workout, I woke up not feeling as sore as I thought I would be. Funny thing is, as the day went by I became more and more sore to the point where pretty much my whole upper body is in pain. I figured my muscles were recovering pretty much the whole day. I don't know if it's just a psychological thing, but I already feel like I had more energy the entire day. I'm about to start day 2 plyo, wish me luck!

I just finished week 2 shoulders and arms. I noticed a lot more strength and increased weight in almost every category. What a difference 1 week makes. I'm really looking forward to day 30 and the pics to see a change.

Yoga is tomorrow. I could only do about half of the moves last week, we'll see how much I've improved since last week, wish me luck!
