Me and the wife plan on starting Nov. 2nd as well. I just ordered P90x, pull-up bar, and the resistance bands. Just found this forum this morning and plan on doing quite a bit of reading and planning.

Just ordered up some ON Pro Complex and Creatine. I'm getting pumped to start this in November. BTW, I'm 27, 5"11 and about 185 lbs. Hopefully I'll be cutting some weight and putting on some muscle.

Are you going to be using any supplements in addition to the diet?

Lets do this thing....

I am 27 5"11 and about 235-40 (23% body fat).

I am looking to really drop some weight...I already have a good amount of muscle.

In the meantime, I plan on reading message board, gathering ideas and going through a couple practice runs with the videos. Monday after Halloween weekend can't come any sooner!!!

I plan on using the recovery drink after my workouts and a power bar sometime during the day as a snack and maybe some whey protein. Never been into the other supplements.

You will get a lot of support from this forum. People are starting all of the time so you shouldn't have any trouble finding motivation. I wish I would have found this site when I did my first round of P90X. I am on my second now and enjoy the tips that I get from reading the posts. I actually got my current diet plan from this site. You will be amazed at the results you see even in the first week. Good luck and keep pressing play starting Nov 2nd. Look forward to reading your posts.

I've seen mention of a p90x excel speadsheet on this site for tracking progress but cannot find it anywhere, have you?

Edit: Nevermind, found it

I found this one. It is for classic, which is the one I will be doing.

Which one are you guys doing? When do you plan on working out?

Here is one I made for diet.

I am using the portion approach.

I just will type each food in the box that I eat....

We're doing the Classic. We plan on working out right after work, about 5pm, and then dinner. It seems most people do their workout before work but I just don't think I can make myself get up early enough before work to do it. What about you?

Re:Anyone want to start Nov 2nd with me?!?!??! 5 Months ago Karma: 2
I think I mostly will wake up first thing in the morning and work out. I'm always more positive when I work out in the morning.

My schedule is looking like this:

Workout
Recovery Drink - P90x recovery drink
Breakfast - Egg Whites Cheese and Veggies/OJ as my fruit
Snack - probably P90x Bar
Lunch - Either Subway (half sub) or Salad w/ Protein (chicken/tuna)
Snack - Turkey Jerky or Nuts

Maybe some Squash on days I'm not tired

Dinner - Protein, Veggie Side and Salad
Snack - Protein Shake

I think we are going to have to work out first thing in the morning now too. I forgot it's almost basketball season.

Wow, you already got a meal schedule planned, your way ahead of us. I'm still waiting for the p90x to arrive in the mail, but I plan to take the portion approach also. Are you going to track carbs and calories? Can you upload the excel you made for tracking your diet?

Re:Anyone want to start Nov 2nd with me?!?!??! 5 Months ago Karma: 2
I got my p90x a couple weeks ago and have been reading over the books and message boards. I am sure you will have a meal plan set up soon. I have a big golf tournament in Pinehurst next week so I figured I'd start right after that.

I have to eat around 3k calories per day. You probably will be in the 2400 range. We get 1 serving of carbs during the first 30 days (like a slice of bread). After 30 days, we get 3 servings of carbs.

I tried to upload my diet spreadsheet but it didn't work. I can email it to you if you want. What basketball team/league you into? I figure you are from NY with a name like AROD.

Just a nickname, and here's the irony, I'm a big Cavs fan. I have season tix and most of the games start at 7 so there goes the working out after work idea. It's going to be killer not being able to get beers and nachos at the games. I'll PM you about the spreadsheet.

Re:Anyone want to start Nov 2nd with me?!?!??! 5 Months ago Karma: 0
Hey guys,

I finished my first P90 about 6 weeks ago and I fell off the wagon completely when I went to Greece so I'm pretty excited to start it back up again (aka i'm fat). I'm also starting November 2nd so I'll be on here for motivation. The results of my first P90 were pretty impressive for me so I posted them in the pictures forum. However, I will be switching up routines a little. I think I might try a P90/Insanity hybrid. I'll be substituting some of the P90's yoga/kenpo routines with some of the Insanity cardio workouts. I will be doing the yoga every couple of weeks but only the first 45 minutes and i'm cutting out kenpo altogether to avoid hyperextending anything. I'm not going to concentrate on measurements with my body fat percentage or exact food portions. I'm going to pay close attention to my weight and make sure my diet stays really low carb the entire workout. I'm 6' and currently weigh 195 lbs. At the end of my first P90 I weighed about 180 lbs. I'm looking to cut down between 170-175 lbs by January 30th. Have fun guys and get any of those glorious meals in while ya can because a strict diet is the most important thing come November 2nd.

Hey Matt, glad to have another join us. The diet's going to be the roughest part for me, I am a taco bell and chipotle addict. You'll have to keep us in the know on how mixing in Insanity goes. I may be interested in doing that for round 2.

Re:Anyone want to start Nov 2nd with me?!?!??! 5 Months ago Karma: 0
Not sure exactly what my diet will consist of yet because I haven't received the guides yet. But here is what I'm thinking as far as a schedule.

6am - Wake-up, Creatine
6am - Workout
7am - Protein Drink
8am - Breakfast
10am - Snack
12pm - Lunch
3pm - Snack
6pm - Dinner
8pm - Protein drink
10ish - Sleep

None of the workouts are longer than an hour are they? I thought I remember someone saying the yogax took 1.5 hours.

Re:Anyone want to start Nov 2nd with me?!?!??! 5 Months ago Karma: 0
Yoga is 1.5 hrs and all of the other workouts are under an hour. You will be doing an ab routine M,W, and F that will add 15 minutes to each work-out. If you want really good results I would suggest throwing in a cardio exercise starting day 31-on as much as possible. Your body is going to need some rest the first month so I wouldn't suggest any twoadays until the second month. The diet part is rough on me as well but you'll notice it's pretty easy once you've made it through the first 2 or 3 weeks. You're diet schedule is legit but if you want to get cut instead of bulk up make sure all meals are low carb. If it gets to the point that you are wore out and notice yourself being almost too tired to work out then up your carbs intake. The booklet will state that your caloric intake should be pretty high. I find it hard to eat 1800 healthy calories per day and there is no way I can eat the recommended amount.

Not a bad team to cheer for. I guess you'll have to bring a protein bar to the game. I would just hide it so you don't get picked on...lol.

My original plan was to start on Nov 1st and then I realized that was a Sunday . So yeah, I'll start on the 2nd with you guys.

I'm also doing the Classic version and just had my last beer for the next 15 weeks last night. I'm kind of looking forward to it considering the hangover I had this morning.

It's going to be tough though. I'm also a huge Cavaliers fan and a win is always made better when combined with a 6 pack of Molson.

Arond413 - That is sick you have season tickets. I'll be happy if I can get to one game. I'm just hoping Dr. Redbush get's everything sorted out before the season starts.
