Hey guys mind if I join you? I will be starting today also. Been through 5 weeks of it before but fell of because I loss motivation, even though I felt great and was seeing results  . I also have 3 friends from work starting it today with me, but I can use all the motivation I can get lol.

I'm following the portion guide and only have a few portions left of protein and vegetable to complete and only have 600 calories so far. I don't get how your suppose to follow the portions guide, I'm level 2, and still get 2400 calories.

Yeah the last time I attempted this program I found it very hard to reach the correct calorie deficit. I was supposed to be eating around 3200 calories per day but I was struggling to even reach 2000. It's very hard to consume a lot of calories when you're eating the right foods.

Started today too....My biggest issue is getting a meal plan together....I am 25 6'3" 220 lbs....DOes any one have a good diet with some actual recipes and specific measurements....I have been reading the forums and havent found what i was looking for. First day down....89 to go...

sure your more than welcome to join, just wanted to as well I just finished day 4 of lean and so far yoga x is probably my favorite workout, if nobodys done it yet dont laugh its a heck of a workout!

Day 1 - Chest/Back/AbRipper
Weight - 237
Body Fat - 41% - Not sure if this scale measures body fat well. Should be around 20-30%
Today I worked out in the morning.
Let me just say I couldnt keep up with the video. I had trouble using the bands...only could do 10-15 reps of each exercise and had to use my chair full time for pull ups. Ab Ripper was an embarrassment.
Diet:
730 Workout
845 Recovery Drink
915 9 Egg Whites, Mushrooms, Cheese and Orange Juice
11 Nitrotech Protein Bar
130 Garden Salad with Grilled Chicken - Balsamic Dressing
300 Double Soy Nuts

Any suggestions...Anything wrong? Help Appreciated

Just a suggestion, I did AbRipperX first. I only did 10 of each exercise, but I did them all. I'm absolutely certain that if I'd done it after chest and back I wouldn't have been able to do most of them.

Missed today, the first day. ended up working 15 hours today. I decided with my crazy schedule im going to start getting up at 4 am and doing the morning routine.

Hey Everybody!!!
I did it!!! I made it thru the first day and boy was it a monster....especially the AbRipperX. That was just embarrasing! I'm doing the portion approach and it worked out pretty good for day 1. I did the chest and back at 5:00am and now I'm starting to feel it in my shoulders, triceps and back. I know that tomorrow will be even worse.
But, I'm definitely looking forward to it.

Congrats to everyone that got through the first day! I did better than expected, I got through it Yay  To the previous post I will also be up at 4 pm to workout out, too much to do after work, dinner, help son with homework etc. But we all have to find the best time of day to get it done. I think another positive point about working out in the am, is no matter what kind of day you have, or what surprises the day holds, our workout is done first thing in the morning! What do you guys think?

I just finished my first day 20 minutes ago and boy am I tired! who else here thought that the ab ripper was such a killer?! I couldn't even keep up with them.

Started last night, made it through the chest/back OK. Totally agree, ARX was really hard. Forgot to take pics before starting so I plan on taking my pictures tonight before working out. Should be a fun one - Plyo's then hockey at 9...

I finished yesterday with 1,294 Calories.
Diet:
Breakfast: Egg Beater Omlette w/ Mushrooms and 1 Turkey Sausage link
Snack: Almonds
Lunch: Lettuce w/ chopped turkey, feta cheese, light italian dressing, cup of fruit
Snack: String Cheese
Dinner: Turkey breast w/ shallots & garlic, mixed veggies, potato
Workout
Recovery drink - 2 Scoops Chocolate Pro Complex, half a banana, scoop of peanut butter, cup of skim milk
Protein: 45%
Fat: 27%
Carbs: 27%
Note to self: Don't have string cheese and almonds as snacks on the same day, both have fat.
Did Chest and Back yesterday evening, it was brutal, I also tried to pace myself at 10-15 reps but by the time the second round of pull-ups came I was doing 8 using a chair  Plyo was just brutal this morning. I started out good but once the second round came I was doing more sitting on the couch and yelling F-bombs at Tony than moving.

Hey guys I actual started p90x today (nov. 3). I had a question should I take the whey protein shake once or twice a day. And whats the best time?I have some fat to lose Im about 5'8 165. My diet is complicated because I'm in college so I just eat a clean diet limit the alcohol and I cut out the sodas and sugar and sweets.

I would say it depends on how much protein you are getting naturally from your diet. I am using the portion plan which requires 7 portions of protein (eggs, turkey, tofu) so I am only drinking one protein shake (2 scoops, 60g) a day, right after my workout. You are 165 so you should be consuming about 165g of protein. If your not getting the protein in your diet then have 2 shakes, one in the morning and one in the afternoon.

Your protein load should be 1.2-1.5 grams per kg of lean body weight. If you know your body fat percentage, just subtract that from your weight to get your lean body weight.
Careful with protein...too much can lead to renal failure!

Day 2 - Pylo
Weight 235
Body Fat 35% - must have a POS scale
Again, I worked out in the morning. Woke up at 7am and hit the snooze button twice. Finally decided that I should work out in the morning to get it over with, so I started Pylo around 730.
I really liked Pylo better then Chest/Back/AbX. I was struggling with the bands and was happy I wouldnt need them today. I am actually thinking about buying some weights next week if I struggle Wed and Fri.
I couldnt keep up with Tony and the gang but I think I did a fine job. My form wasn't great but I know it will improve with experience.
I am feeling soar right now, but its not unbearable. I have been soarer in the past.
It regards to my diet, I could only eat half calories 1500 out 3000 calories today. I just dont have a big appetite which is unusual for me. I guess eating more meals and every 2 hours helps get rid of craving big amounts of food at one time.

Hi Standy,
I started my first round this monday... jeez I am struggling.
I just finished the Plyo, it was difficult essentially because of the soar pain from yesterday.
Concerning your appetite, I really think that your body need to get launched... I mean your apepite will come once your body realize he need to eat all this food and proteins to keep up with what the workouts demand him.
I start this evening to feel hungry (tonight it's top sirlion, aspargus, mushs, lettuce, tomatoes, recovery drink, soy milk, and some ham... yummy!) Okay the protein bar and shake are not at all my taste... but I just know I get to take them...
