Re:Anyone want to start Nov 2nd with me?!?!??! 3 Months, 3 Weeks ago Karma: 2
I weigh myself tomorrow morning. Can't wait. My prediction is 5 more pounds shredded off. That would make 10pds total in 2 weeks!

I really see a difference in my body and I hope the scale can say the same.

As for my diet. I am really good Sunday-Thursday. Friday and Saturday are tough for me since I am not on my regular schedule.

Friday I went out and drank with some friends, probably 5-6 beers or so.

Saturday I had a banquet breakfast brunch at the golf club. I had a scooped out bagel w/ smoked fish (bagel couldnt of been good) At night I had a sit down dinner at a gala for juvenile diabetes. They served Filet Mignon and a crabcake (either of which cannot be good) + 5-6 vodka sodas. I must of had 2500-3000 calories because of the drinks and food and my protein was the same as carbs.

I got back on track today and I hope to have a better weekend next time around.

Day 15 here I come!!!

Week 2 done and done. I've heard many people say getting through the first few weeks is the toughest part. For those who stuck with it, nice work. Really excited to get started tomorrow morning.

Rossman/Standy - Sounds like the fat shredder phase is doing its job. Keep it goin! I'm going to weight myself tomorrow morning and see where I'm at. I'm guessing around 172.

Man Standy that is awesome. I've only lost 4 pounds so far but I can definitely tell, I'm having to buckle my belt in an extra hole. My arms, shoulders, and chest look a bit more fuller. Not bad for only 2 weeks.

I had a couple relapses and had to use my rest days out of order. Went to the Cavs Jazz game over the weekend and the Cavs scored 100 points so I had to go to Taco Bell and get my free chalupa Then some friends from C-bus came up and we went out to eat (beef stir-fry on rice, couldn't have been too bad) and then out for beers ( a couple pitchers of labatts and a couple guinesses).

ARod- 4 Pounds is good for you man. I am much bigger than you so your 4 pds are probably equivalent to my 10 pds.

Weekends are tough but I am killing it during the week.

Making some Turkey Chili and Eggplant Parm later this week!!

Having a slight set back, think I pulled a muscle in lower right shoulder area. I've been taking flexeril for the past couple of days, but still hard to turn my neck to the right. I may have to start over. I did have a great arms and shoulders and Ab ripper on Saturday, though. the ripper was coming along well and I may have over did it a bit on the shoulders and arms, but i got a great pump. I took my weight on my Wii Fit and i did lose a pound, don't know how accurate that is, but my pants have felt a bit loose and my stomach isn't bulging as much, so I know I'm making progress. Anyway, I will give my back a couple more days and see how it feels and start the week back over. wish me luck fellows.

Ground Turkey Breast is magical. We have used a couple recipes from the nutrition booklet that have turned out really good. The Turkey burger recipe was really good, added a slice of pepperjack soy cheese and I couldn't tell the difference. The Island Porkloin? was a good recipe, substituted ground red pepper for chili powder...turned out really spicy, but was tasty. Also used the ground turkey breast for taco meat and it turned out really good, threw a few hot peppers and extra cumin with the meat while cooking it, delicious.

Lip314, I hope the injury doesn't keep you from bringing it. Found some tips on sore neck/shoulder relief: http://www.ehow.com/how_2283573_treat-sore-shoulders.html

Thanks Arod,

I appreciate the encouragement. I had a varsity basketball game last night and the back wasn't a factor in me being able to run up and down that court for 2 1/2 hours. I woke up this morning and the back feels great. I don't have any games today, so I will do some Yoga tonight. What do you guys think.....as a basketball official I work college and high school basketball this time of the year and when I finish a game, I'm drenched in sweat. I'm thinking about subsituting my P90X cardio with my basketball games to get in my cardio and days I don't have games, I will do Yoga, stretching, core work and weight training. Even though I don't see the large weight loss like my man Standby, I did notice my referee slacks was starting to hang off me and they are a size 38. I'm still trying to eat good, and watch my portions, I had a protein shake last night for dinner, because I didn't want to eat anything heavy and go to sleep on it. Does anyone know where I can download the entire P90X nutriution guide online? I loss mind a while back, but I'm sure it has some good recipes in it that I can use. thanks for your support.

Plyo went pretty good yesterday. I felt like I did almost all the exercises all the way through although I wimped out on doing all of the 180 switch lunges, had a hell of a sweat going. Much improvement compared to week 1 though. The Mary-Katherines still kill me though.

All I can say man, is stick with the program and add the reffing as extra cardio. Your going to lose the weight dude. I am just seriously overweight and can lose weight faster because of that (240 5'11).

Hey Standy, just wondering which protein bars you liked the best out of the handful you grabbed? I'm thinking about trying some.

These were my favorite. Pretty low in the sugar department!

Re:Anyone want to start Nov 2nd with me?!?!??! 3 Months, 3 Weeks ago Karma: 0
Thanks for your concerns Nessy, I think I'm back from the road of recovery. My back feels great and there is no more pain. I had two high school varisty games last night and got in a good work and I have to travel to North Carolina for a college game tonight. I've been really focusing on keeping my total calorie count under 2000 and it worked pretty well most of this week. I plan on doing some legs and back tomorrow evening after a another high school game.
Standby, thats for the link to the protein bars. I bought a box of Supreme Protein at my local GNC, but after reading the ingredients on the Titan, it had less sugar than the Supreme, so I may give that one a try. I found this website the other day that you all may be interested in. Remember when I told you I was trying to stay under 2000 calories a day? Well, I'm really not the one to count calories all the time, and some of you all don't have the time as well, but I threw in some foods that I consumed throughout the day to see what I came up with and I was surprised to see that I was able to stay under the total and was still able to eat 6 to 8 small healthy meals.
http://www.acaloriecounter.com

I don't think I'm going to be logging this in everyday, but I know if I can pretty much eat the same variety of foods everyday and stay under that total then I should be in pretty good shape. I made a nice little meal last night that kept me under my calorie goal. Had a turkey pattie cooked in olive oil with some mushrooms and onions, topped that with slice of low fat swiss cheese, tomatoe and lettuce, small spread of miricle whip light mayo, mustard on two slices of 100% whole wheat bread(Nature's Own) with about 12 low fat tortilla chips and a 8oz glass of Diet V8 Splash. The old me would have had 2 of these and would be fat and happy, but I'm teaching myself to stay with one serving and it worked.

I will weigh myself on Sunday morning on my Wii Fit to see my progress for the week and let you all know. I'm not going to trip if I don't see a big number drop, my stomach is already starting to shrink and the pants are getting looser, so I will let you all know my results. Love, peace and olive oil.
