Ross Man!!!

Congrats dude! Thats the kind of results I wanted to see in my first week but I ended up losing 4 pounds 237 to 233. Really makes me think that I should of started with lean instead of classic. I did add squash later in the day to increase my cardio on lifting days. What day are you on????

Yeah, nice work Rossman. Those are huge results in such a short time. I'm sure Tony would call you a madman!

Played soccer with some friends over the weekend that I haven't seen for a couple weeks and several of them commented on how I looked thinner. Neither of them knew that I stopped drinking a few weeks back and that I started p90x last week. I've only lost about 5 pounds but it shows even that can make a difference.

I just finished day 10 and I'm so pumped to keep going thanks for the support as well guys it really keeps me motivated. Also I realized today that now that I know the workouts I'm really really getting into them and pushing myself so if one week you feel like you didn't do so hot you have next week to really bring it. How are you guys coming along in your p90x

Re:Anyone want to start Nov 2nd with me?!?!??! 4 Months, 1 Week ago Karma: 0
It is amazing how a week or two can start to change how you feel about yourself. I'm on day 9 of Lean and I must admit, I was so sore all last week when I started on the 2nd, that I didn't want to keep going, but I did. Yesterday I did core synergistics for week 2 and I noticed I had more balance and was able to keep up more with the crew on the DVD. When I started last week, I was experiencing lower back pain, I think its due to my core being weak and my gut hanging over my belt, but last night my back didn't hurt as much. I still rested on a couple of exercises like that damn Dreyer Roll, but for the most part I stuck with it. Most of the soreness is leaving and I feel more confident starting this week's work outs than last week. I was just happy I was able to stay with it all last week. I'm trying not to worry so much about weight lose right now, but I do feel a bit lighter and my gut is starting to level off a bit. My diet is a big key to that, I make sure that I'm eating my small meals throughout the day in correct portions and staying away from all high frutose corn sryup. I bought a Wii Fit for my kids a while back and I used that to weigh myself and set a goal of losing 22 pounds in 3 months(i think my BMI was around 32, which puts me in the obese category according to world standards). I remember when I decided to do P90X again, my weight was at 225 on the bathroom scale and after one week of the workouts when I got on the Wii, it said 224.5. I will stay off the bathroom scale and stick with the Wii scale instead. That way I will ensure consistency, plus it measures everything for you. Like I said, the weight loss will come, I know muscle weighs more than fat, so as my body begins to burn the fat the weight will fall. Good luck everyone, lets keep it going!!!

Lip

Felt really good this morning in Plyo. Really worked up a sweat and almost made it through the entire workout while pushing my hardest. Plyo is in trouble next week.

How is everyone else doing? Soreness should be gone. Might get a little back this week.

Wow the Monday workouts are killer, so many push-ups and pull-ups. I think I started out better this time, did more push-ups than before but still could only do a couple regular pull-ups before I needed to use a chair. Then the second set I probably only did half as many push-ups and pull-ups (all assisted). Kind of a bummer but really looking forward to doing Plyo tonight.

I also quit tracking my daily calorie intake, too much of a chore. I still stick to the portion plan and am eating all the same things so I have a very good general idea of my calorie/protien/carb/fat intake. Cheers!

I am loving this guys! I can't wait to get on the scale next Monday. I am feeling and seeing changes in my body.

I have already been complemented twice. One person said I look thinner and one said I looked jacked in the chest. I'll take both complements.

I went to Dick's and bought some 20s to go with my 10s. Trying to switch away from the bands. I couldnt buy the 30s there because I wouldnt be able to walk out with 100 pounds...Haha....Maybe next time.

I also bought a goody bag of 10 different protein bars. I got a titan bar that I heard taste awesome!! I'll let you guys know. I also picked up a yoga block for Thursday.

Keep up with me on my daily log over in the log threads.

BRING IT ON!!!!!!!!

I don't know about you guys but I love seeing the "X" fill in the days as you finish each workout in the Excel spreadsheet. Can't wait to X the final day.

Also, I bought some Morning Star soy burgers and turkey bacon just to throw in a different option here and there for protein. I'll let you guys know how the soy burgers taste. Not expecting to really like them though.

We bought some of those Bocca Soy burgers to try and I couldn't eat mine. I thought it was terrible. We bought some ground turkey to use for burgers and also going to try using it as taco meat.

Anyone find anything for breakfast other than eggs? I'm starting to get sick of eggs in the morning. I've really been mixing it up with different kinds of omlettes and scrambled eggs with salsa but still getting sick of them every morning.

Hopefully I have a better experience with the burgers I bought. What the hell is soy anyway?

The only thing I've had for breakfast besides eggs is a protein shake.

I did Protein Shakes last weekend for breakfast. I just really enjoy egg omletes.

You can also eat cottage cheese and fruit....or just plain breakfast meat like turkey sausage and bacon.

You can go Euro & try some sliced up fruit, with no/low fat pudding as a dip w/ toasted 100% whole wheat English muffin.

Try Canadian bacon slice (there round) & a string cheese. Roll up. Mircowave for 20 seconds. Or, put a slice of Can. bacon, some cheese on a toasted Eng. muffin.

Hey Gang!
I'm so excited about this program! I'm definitely seeing results already. My legs, arms and stomach are toning up rather nicely. Although Ab Ripper X is a beast, I was able to do bicycles forward and reverse without taking a break. Hey, that's a coup for me!!! I'm getting better and better every time I do Abs. My friend and I track our days by how many we have left. So, since I just completed day 10, it's now P80x. I can't wait to get to the first milestone of P60X. Keep it up guys...we will all get there together with amazing results.

Rochelle

Hello everyone, Rossman I am not using a recovery drink, but I do have a protien shake right after my workouts, and when I do plyo, I sip on gatorade.Thank you for the suggestion Rossman, I'll pick some up today on my way home from work, Oh btw I have also started taking glutamine.
Thank you all so much for the wonderful suggestions. I will doing yoga late tonight I couldnt wake up this morning!!

Oh one more thing, I personally love morning star brand breakfast patties, they are pricy though!

Tried a soy burger with dinner tonight and it actually wasn't half bad. It smelled really good and went well with carrots.

What's happening to me? No beer and now I'm eating soy burgers!

Felt pretty good doing Legs and Back, it might be my favorite workout of the week. Noticed when comparing my numbers from last week that I doubled my total pull-ups without using a chair for support.

You guys have a good weekend.
