Yoga was embarrassing!!!!! I am so fat I cant even reach beyond my knees and my legs really can't get straight.

I think I broke my risk trying to do the crane. Crane...I dont think i'll ever be able to do that one.

I had trouble getting into runners pose for gods sake!!! hahaha

I tried my hardest and sweat as much as plyo.

I am relaxed today and looking forward to see if I can improve next week!!

My brother from another mother,

It gets easier as our flexiblity, balance and strength increases. We are still in the first week. Rome was NOT built in a day, we have to recognize our limits and do what we can. As we progress, the exercises will get more comfortable. If you've done AB ripper X assuming you are doing Lean, then I could barely get through some of the routine, but I tried and did what I could. Its when you don't put any effort in it is when you should feel bad. From what you are saying, you gave it a good shot. I remember when I first did AB Ripper a couple years ago and I didn't think I was going to get it done all the way, hell, I couldn't do the front and back bicycles without dropping my legs and resting, but I got through it and was able to do in and outs, bicycles and crunchy frogs with little rest in between, so keep at it. I'm right here with you brother.

Lip

Just finished Yoga X earlier tonight and actually enjoyed it. After all of the downward dogs are over the rest of Yoga flies by.

I understand competely.

Very stressful today. Two trials going on at once, 68 witnesses to coordinate on one case. I was ready for my old friend the 12 pack of Miller Lite, after work.

Weird, I could hear Tony's voice in the back of my head, and thoughts of going backwards, plus giving up the positives I have already started.

I ate a little something did some jumping jacks and push ups. No more craving & a clear head. Am I white knucking it? Probably, but still no slip ups & Kenpo X on Fri. Rest on Sat.!! I am going to work on Yoga X for awhile on Sat.

Stay focused!

Ha,

The past couple of pages have been pretty hysterical. It's so tough the first week....right? I was supposed to start with you guys Nov 2nd but I'm inbetween a move this week and won't be able to start until Nov 9th. I'm still going to post here though as I have familiarized myself somewhat with this group. I finished round 1 of P90X-doubles late August and i'm gettin ready to start up round 2. It was crucial the first couple weeks of the workout when I did my first round but you'll notice by the end of the second month, time allowing, you'll want to throw in additional workouts. For instance, I like lifting chest because mine gets pretty small as I lose weight and Monday is the only day you work chest that much. Also, considering the P90 routine is all push-ups you don't build that much bulk in your chest area IE) bulk=less reps & heavier weight, so I started using free-weights to lift chest on Thursday nights as well. Keep up the good work guys and I'll catch up next week when the pain begins. I imagine my post won't be as optomistic after plyo.

I am going to have a few drinks tonight. Probably a few every weekend for the next 90 days. I guess you guys will see if I can get results while drinking 2 nights a week. It looks like I have a 1000 calories to eat to reach 3000 every day, SO hopefully I will still see results.

Anyone else think Kenpo is boring? By far my least favorite workout through the first 6 days. I did a test run of Kenpo a few weeks back and really tried getting into this time, but was unable.

Also it could be the guy that looks like Hynes Ward and never stops smiling. I hate the steelers!

Finally found my receipt for the POS heart rate monitor I bought. If anyone is looking for a HRM do not by the S7 by SportsLine. Got it at walmart, should have known. I would say more than half of the time it does not give me a reading and by the time it does I've already cooled down.

Re:Anyone want to start Nov 2nd with me?!?!??! 1 Week, 6 Days ago Karma: 0
Hello, Here is my week 1 review
Day one: Love it, I cant wait to be able to do a pull up
Day 2: Oh my, this was one hell of a workout, I took lots of breaks and gave tony the middle finger whenever he said "just a little bit of water" I was more like chug chug chug, and yes I threw up!
Day 3: A little less intense, I tend to avoid lifting heavy and sticking to higher reps for my upper body because my arms grow so fast! Great if I was a man, but a bit manly for a woman
Day 4: Love Love yoga, I felt incredible afterwards, but during the workout, it was painful, I am so uncoordinated and not very flexible, but I am sure that will change!
Day 5: Good workout very tiring, but I have skinny legs, I would like more defined muscular legs I am not sure if this workout will help me achieve that, But I will continue to skick with it.
Day 6: Hmmm. well my least favorite, but I have read before that it does take a while to really get into it, I dont wont to write off this workout just yet, I realize that it is meant to be a lower intensity workout, I am gonna stick with it.
As far as my diet, honestly.. Iam just eating a clean balanced diet, no counting calories here. I have a protein shake immediately after my workout.
Breakfast: 5 or 6 egg whites w/ ketchup and hot sauce, some fruit, glass or milk
Snack: beef jerkey
Lunch: 2 Chicken wraps, with hummus whole wheat tortillas,&baby spinach
Snack: almonds or cashews or string cheese, and fruit
Dinner: Protein and vegies
And a glass of milk before bed...
Any suggestions feel free to comment!!

Maybe switch the beef to turkey jerkey. It's supposed to be better for you.

Nessy-

Your Diet looks pretty good to me. I aggree with X that you should switch to Turkey Jerky. I haven't been able to find it yet so I can get it my diet. Any Suggestions?

Also, what kind of chicken wraps are those? Grilled Chicken? What are you using for wraps. I want to add wrap to my diet as well.

BTW. I loved KenpoX today. My whole shirt was full of sweat. Hurt my joints in my hips but was a hell of a workout.

I will be trying StretchX tomorrow. I want to try to do the exact workouts during the 90 days.

What an awesome first week!! I've been getting up at 3am and hitting up the workouts at about 3:45
I'm lucky in the sense that I've just gotten back into the personal training scene after a motorbike accident, so i have a whole studio at my disposal.

Day 1: I find the first week of any workout to be amusing as you slowly adjust. I definitely picked the wrong weights but was an awesome sesh nevertheless/

Day 2: I was real worried about my knee considering that was the main injury from the accident. But, it help up well. Not only that, but, I only stopped once- I had 5 seconds to go in the second round of the military march (Out of all things haha). I'm looking forward to pushing even farther past my threshold next time! (I took some of my clients through a similar workout here and there- THEY LOVED IT!)

Day 3: What was it again? Ah, shoulders and arms, yeah? Yeah, it was ok. It was a bit weak, could have gone harder.

Day 4: Yoga... I didn't do Tony's yoga. Instead, I took myself through my own routine. Was awesome to see how much flexibility I've lost over the past 12 months!

Day 5: This day was pretty cool. A few exercises thrown in there that I hadn't done before so that was a cool new learning curve.

Day 6: I didn't do Kempo. Sorry, I started it for about 5 minutes and was getting more of a workout in my abs from laughing too much. Instead, I waited for my colleague to get to the gym and we hit uhat an awesome first week!! I've been getting up at 3am and hitting up the workouts at about 3:45

Day 7: Thank God! My calves feel as though they could snap at any point. I'm a keen believer in a rest day being A REST DAY- exercise wise as well as nutrition (I hit up some Miccy D's)- I find that it's a good shock for the body, especially when you're eating so well for 6 days.

Ab Ripper X I did on mon/tues/thurs/sat - Was pretty cool. I had to pause it on almost every exercise and bust out some more reps. Ab Ripper 330 quickly became Ab Ripper 450 haha but that was awesome too!

All in all an awesome first week.

I FOUND TURKEY JERKEY YESTERDAY !!!!
Its at this store called fresh and easy, if anyone has this store near by check it out lots of great stuff

As for my chicken wraps, I used all fresh and easy brand

I take a Whole wheat tortilla, spread spicy jalapeno hummus, grilled chicken breasts (that were marinated in homemade italian dressing for a few days and grilled on the george foreman grill), then I add baby spinach, roll it up and enjoy!

I have also used lean cold cuts instead of chicken
(BTW,this fresh and easy brand tortillas are great because I find other brands tend to break as soon as i try to fold them, these dont!!

I have a middle eastern salad and dressing recipe to share if any of you would like?

Great find!!!

I was thinking this morning of trying mine own in the dehydrator.

You solved my problem.

I Googled the store. I was shocked there are (6) in the nearby area. Great news. I'll be cleaning them out on Monday.

Thanks for your help!

Looks like fresh and easy stores are only on the west side. I'm gonna have to try whole foods next time I shop cause I haven't been able to find quinoa anywhere.

I loved the Kenpox, I thought it was fun. I still had plenty of energy afterward though, it wasn't as cardio intensive as I thought it would be. We did the stretchx today, not bad, felt good afterward. It really stretched out my calves that were so sore. I weighed myself on Friday, down 2.5 pounds.
