my guess is you'll be back after one week(recovery), why? because it's addicting.

I tried to take 2 weeks off but just couldn't do it. I took one week off from any of the resistance workouts and went for a couple of runs through out the week and then I jumped right back into it.

I would recommend taking more than two weeks off. I was so bored with the routine of staying in my basement and doing the dvd's by the end of the 90 days. It was really energizing to start running outdoors and going to the gym afterward.

I did P90X from April to July 2010. I'm now three weeks in to another round and I'm enjoying it WAY more this time around. Some of that is attributable to some modifications I've done to the schedule. Instead of doing Kenpo, I do an hour trail run on that day. If I'm feeling really beat up before a resistance day, I only do half of the workout and then supplement it with 30 minutes of running. I'm more committed to Yoga this time around. Last time I never did the balance postures and now I'm at least attempting them with the hope of making it all the way through with some success by the end of the program.

I'm also having more success with ARX. Last time I'd shoot for the full 25 reps on each movement, but I'd usually be completely cooked about halfway through and then the rest of the way would be a total waste. This time I started by only doing 5 reps on each movement and doing the exercises well the whole way through. I'm adding a few reps each time I do ARX and now I find that I'm doing about 15 reps of every movement and I'm getting good results.

Sorry to ramble, but just my thoughts.

Thanks,

Dave

Hi Dave, thanks for responding! I really have decided to take the full 2 weeks off. I think my body needs it, but I do plan to continue to bike. After reading all the responses and doing more research on the beachbody site, it seems to me that the 2 weeks off will enhance my second round by giving my body the break, as hard as it is...cause I am an addict to it now. I really look forward to my workout. From what I understand, and am learning , thanks to many folks in here and Beachbody site...our body has to have that time to repair before starting all over again as well as it will kick into better muscle confusion as it starts the process all over again.

I hated Yoga X, but am becoming a huge fan of it now. I can see where it has helped me stretch out and helps soreness from other exercises. ABR...well, I do it all except the v-roll ups...they are hard for me.
I workout very early in morning and on ABR days, I do it right after the normal workout, otherwise, I get to busy and wont do it. I could not do half of it when I started, but can do it all now and LOVE IT . Never thought I would EVER be saying that.

I am very excited about my results so far. I am down 16 lbs now. Have not measured yet since 60 day, but I know I have lost more inches. I hang up inspirational pictures-sayings all over the room I workout in, it helps keep me motivated. I have a studio that I work in ( my home art room) that has lots of room and light which makes it more welcoming to workout in. Maybe the basement you use to workout in could use some better lighting or posters that will inspire you more???

Good luck and stay with it! I know I will! Hugs~Kate
