Question 2 Months, 3 Weeks ago Karma: 0
With p90x, I see amazing results for users in their upper body, but I am somewhat concerned with my glutes, hammys and trimming some excess fat off those regions. I am a graduated senior going into college, and I figured p90x would be a great way to keep my health in check. Thanks!

P90x has some good leg workouts, but the reason you see such great upper body results is because there is generally less fat around the arms, chest, and shoulders, so when you start to lose weight, those are the first areas to show. Fat comes off in layers from the whole body - not through area specific fat reduction like tv infomercials would have you believe. That's why you can workout your abs throughout the whole program and won't have a six pack until you burn that fat off your midsection.

That being said, P90X will help you burn fat and tone muscle, but if you really want to lose the fat off the trouble areas, diet is key. Also, if you don't shed enough fat the first time around, you can always go P90X Lean version for the second round to get really trim. I'm halfway through phase 2, and I'm still debating whether or not to make my round 2 lean, classic, or possibly doubles. I'm really anxious to see my six pack, and I'm hoping it will be here by day 90.

Don't worry about your legs, about 5 workouts will work the legs in some fashion. Legs just don't get quite as visibly toned as the upper body, there's less bulges. The first time you do Plyo and Legs & Back you'll understand that there's a massive legs workout in P90X.

Nate's right too, it's not just a workout, you need to maintain a healthy diet to keep a healthy body.

I'm not a Doctor, Nutritionist, or Medical Professional of any sort...but I did stay at a Holiday Inn last night.
