ive been thinking about getting the p90x workout, but the thing that i can foresee being an issue for me is the diet part of it. i am by no means fat, im 5'11 and float between 175-180, but i do enjoy eating. Now i do eat healthy, just in large portions. I can eat something that could be split for 2.

the reason i think i can get a way with it is because dinner is my biggest meal, with my work schedule im at 6am and just have a bowl of ceral (golden grams, cinamon toast crunch or vector) and lunch is usually just a sandwich(cheese bun with slices of moz or marble and luncheon meats) and a granola bar.And to drink its usually the acai v8 fusion(i dont rally by into the weightloss thing for acai, it just tastes good, though i have been losign weight since switch to it so *shrugs*) so really havent eaten that much. My dinner flips between pasta and chicken with chopped up red and green peppers and onions, or rice with chicken green peppers and onions with a pineapple sauce. chicken seems is my constant. but in both cases im eating a portion sized for two. But in my defense since switching to mostly that ive actaully lost weight i use to float between 185-190.

so after that rant my question is how much am i goign to be cutting out?

I dont think you'll have a problem. You are gonna need to eat around 2400 calories during P90x judging by your current weight. The only thing you need to concentrate on is eating around 5 small meals a day and NOT having a huge dinner. That will probably be your toughest task.

Trust me, I freakin love food too, but I have found the "diet" rather easy. Like I said earlier though, eating 5 meals a day is probably the toughest part.

The hardest part is goign to be that im at work from 8-5, so finding something to eat during that time other then lunch will be tough. but i will just have to see whats on the diet list if i end up doing this.

If he is going to be a level 2 on the diet the dinner is still pretty big. You are going to need protein. Here is a sample of what I eat. I work from 6-3 mon-fri.

5:30 breakfast
6 egg white, 2 pieces of turkey bacon, 2 oz low fat cheese, 3/4 cup mushrooms

8:30-9 snack
Protein bar

12-12:30 lunch
1 piece of whole wheat bread, 6 oz of turkey or chicken, 1 cup of carrots, 1 orange

4-4:30 After workout drink
50g whey protein, 1/2 banana, 3-4 strawberries, 14oz skim milk

7-7:30 Dinner
9oz chicken, 2 cups brocoli, 3oz avacado

you're right hakzorz, dinner is pretty big, but he was saying he sometimes eats for two in one sitting. That's a huge dinner. Dont eat THAT much for dinner and try to eat earlier in the evening rather than later.
