Just placed an order for P90x. Any suggestions on what I can do to get ready while I wait for shipping?

I didnt start the program yet myself... but I would sugest you get your workout area sorted out.

Make sure you have a pull up bar installed and dumbells. Also some sort of yoga matt... oh and a tv or a pc/laptop somewhwere where you can see it from your workout area. Another thing ... throw out any garbage fast food you have in your house.

When you get the package... you need to read the books. I read the nuitrition book twice and just starting to get it ( I never watched calores or what I eat)

Good luck!

Garth,

You might try doing some basic calisthenic exercises...sit ups, push ups, squats (don't go past 90 degrees), etc. Also, some jogging if you can, or bicycling. Walking is nice, too, but you'll want to add some incline to it to increase your work load.

One of my favorite exercises that I still do on P90X Plus is hill sprints. You can do as many or as few as you feel you can do, but try to push out the last 2-3 as hard as possible. I have about a half mile walk into a local park to get to the hill, then I do about 6-8 sprints, then another half mile walk back out. You can do them pretty much anywhere there's a hill, or you can do them on the stadium steps at a local high school or college, so there are lots of possibilities. I remember doing them years ago during football practice. They were tough, but really built endurance in a hurry!

Hope this helps,

Kevin
